Wooden sliding used : middle of the front, back and sides of top and middle floor where hot tubs are and inside all the half walls.
Welcome to Shiluvari (meaning Close to Heaven) House; perfect for those combined family vacations or any large group. Although you probably may not want to go anywhere else, Shiluvari is walking distance from other popular tourist spots, like a family restaurant close by as well as our golf course. (Here we will call this a self-catering lodge).
Inside Shiluvari you will find a proper kitchen, a lovely living area, three comfortable bedrooms and some fun things to do:

The bedrooms are neat and comfortable and each one has an en suite bathroom. There are two bedrooms on the first floor, one with a double bed and one with two single beds. Outside is a common relaxing area with a hot tub.
The second (top) floor has a larger bedroom with a double bed and two single beds, and there is also a common relaxing area outside with another hot tub.

Wait- only vertical paneling? I'm using the log cabin siding "paneling" that d_dgjdhh showed in his post a few posts above this... Is that not allowed? I can change it if need be, but it's always struck me as kind of an arbitrary line between some paneling and siding in TS2, and that that's a texture set that's kind of screwy... It seems pretty obvious that it's for the exterior of a building primarily, despite its label.

Very interesting interpretation and design of a bed and breakfast local to the Mediterranean climate. Even though and as you pointed out, they don't quite exist. But if they existed, it would probably appear similar to this one, so I believe that you were successful. I enjoy the family suite that is accessible by its own staircase, as it makes your building appear as if it is a combination of two buildings, with a filled in archway in the middle.

You did a fantastic job decorating your entry, since I really get the feeling that it comes directly from your destination. I like all the touches of clutter and art, as well as the stone/tile touches which are perfectly suited here. I am a big fan of your effort to match almost everything to your colour scheme of blue and white, and makes me wish that even the plants outside were those colours. You did an awesome job landscaping the exterior and you integrated the required trees nicely along with the rest of the greenery. It doesn't appear at all like a hostel that you would typically expect in an area such as this, but obviously that wasn't the aim you were going for but it was still worth mentioning.

You have a nice looking Bed And Breakfast Inn for guests to flock to. It's a small and cosy place to visit. I like the pond in front of the property, and the variety of plants, bushes, and trees. The colour scheme is good. The rooms are filled adequately with furnishings and clutter objects to make efficient use of spaces. I feel flow between rooms is okay. My view was caught by the dining room and kitchen. Good effort.

Your exteriors are improving somewhat. It's still a wee bit boxy around the outside, but getting much better. In terms of plausibility, though, it unfortunately feels a little odd with the windowed pool and very tall front stairs.

I really like how you've done the tennis room, very attractive. The locker, shower, and washrooms are all nicely done too. The only thing that bothers me is the graffiti on the wall; it seems out-of-place in what otherwise looks to be a fairly upscale building.

Clever layout of your entry, I would never have expected a somewhat pool-bar/club venue but then again it does seem like something that is found in your destination. However, I strongly feel that your pool could have been much larger and not shoved off so much to the corner. I understand it's not the only focus of your centre but it could definitely have been larger since you have leftover space below. I like the area below for your tennis court and the glass floor above which enables some light entry into the space, yet I think you should have also included windows to the outdoors, only in that room if necessary since the lack of windows is so unlikely for an area in the 'Sunshine State'.

I believe that you built a convincing pool-bar like area but it doesn't meld the best with the other amenities you have hidden on the lower level. The bright colours and urban-modern style works quite well here, and it seems like it would attract many visitors, including travellers. I noticed one issue which stood out, the fact that the greenery of your venue lacked any palm trees. Of course this is not a huge deal, and I am aware of the required greenery for the round, yet I feel that you could have made a mixture of the tropical foliage along with the deciduous kind. It's really something you assume that you're going to see, especially in Florida.

I see your initial steps towards your destination in your build, but obviously it doesn't resemble your previous one. Just don't forget that Florida is one of the largest tourism centres in the world. Your entry gives me a sort of South Beach, Miami, sort of vibe, which is definitely good, and I recommend checking out photos of that area if that's what you're striving for.

The building has a good aqua blue/green motif to put across the swimming pool idea, along with wavy decorations at the facade. It feels somewhat plain on the sides, and could have used more landscape decorations, perhaps? There is limited variety with the selection of furnishings, perhaps there could be more clutter objects to add in each room. I feel the division of the building is okay. Flow from room to room is adequate. It would have been better to take a closer shot of the floor plans to see more detail. I'm not quite sure why it was taken at such a faraway distance. Overall, this property can use more furniture and outdoor decorations.

The bathrooms are clean and contemporary but still fit your theme, very nice. I find the furnishing of the cafe building a little hard to figure out. Having the kitchen open to the main area seems unusual, and I can't quite understand the individual stools on the side of the room.

Definitely a "wow" entry for me, and this is likely one of my favourites by-far in this competition. I adore the mini-golf course idea and how you designed it so intrinsically to its surroundings, while taking the nature aspect into consideration. It really shows a vernacular approach to your destination and I believe that is incredibly clever. I find your layout of the three chalet-like buildings in the rear quite clever and interesting, as well as you continue the themes from your previous entry which is also a huge plus. The tiny bridge over the pond is really cute and clever, since it definitely demonstrates all the effort you poured into the design of this venue.

I get the feeling that there is much more to do outdoors than there is indoors, which is likely a good feature to go for with your destination. Clearly this time you have thought incredibly of a unique idea that deserves much praise. I am a big fan of all of the greenery surrounding this centre, it draws my attention immediately towards it and is clearly a feature worth exploring in your destination. Your subtle touches of the colour green in the interior really suit the style of your lot this time in my opinion, it goes really well with the landscaping outdoors, obviously.

Runs with the same exterior theme as the previous property, very good. You also have quite a bit of landscaping and variety of plant decorations. I love the golf course in the trees area, and the small bridge over the pond. This looks like a cosy place to visit. As for the interior designs, you have a good amount of wall hangings, and clutter objects to fill up the space. I feel there could have been more infrastructure. Although the small buildings are interesting, it feels small for the space used. Nonetheless, the property is still a wonderful location to visit.

Very impressive! A good solution for building a lighthouse within the confines of TS3. There are a couple places where I question whether the routing would work for sims, especially in the Buckthorn room. Lovely landscaping.

The overall "shabby" look is out in full force again, and suits your destination. In a few spots it gets a bit overwhelming for me, and in some of the rooms the colour combos clash in a not-so-good-definitely-not-shabby-chic way.

I absolutely love the idea of your build being a converted lighthouse in to a bed and breakfast, along with the keeper's house as well. Definitely an incredibly clever idea and you worked it out perfectly in my opinion. I love the way you laid out your entire build as I think it really takes in to consideration its seaside environment, a common theme in your entries, while also demonstrating a very unique style and design.

Beautiful choice of furnishing and arrangement, I absolutely love all the wooden and rustic touches throughout the entire entry. I really like how you made the required greenery appear natural along with the rest of the landscaping you have done. I think the tiny dock and boat are absolutely adorable and makes your destination still seem like an area with a lot of scenic views. You really made the build appear as if it is a lighthouse that is in fact converted for another use, which is incredibly realistic in my opinion and deserves much praise. By far one of my favourite entries in this competition.

That's a nice lighthouse you have for a B&B. A great destination for the many in order to view the sea and smell the salt air. The exterior decoration is great. I like the stone pathways, and the landscaping. Nice colour scheme for the lighthouse. The idea of different terraces bring variety to the settings to dine at. The interior has a nice sitting room and dining room for guests. The bedrooms have good furnishing and colour schemes that blend well. The Lavender Room feels confined, but then again it is inside the lighthouse. Overall, a good job with construction of the lot.

I am beyond blown away with your Las Vegas-inspired hotel/casino, since it clearly seems like an ideal attraction to put out in the desert under this justification. Furthermore, your idea to conserve the required trees in your desert environment is a clever and unique approach that I absolutely adore, it also definitely suits your building. I really like this concept of a hotel/casino and I like its layout and design. The arched glass roof above the pool is a really nice touch, as well as all of the greenery placed on the stages.

I am given a high-class resort-like impression for your hotel, exactly what you had to go for, and it was executed perfectly. I really like the luxurious choice of furniture and all of the casino amenities, definitely feels like a place that will acquire a lot of tourists. I really like the choice of furniture in your hotel rooms, even though it’s all the same, it appears like one those corporate-owned hotels, and clearly they're trying to put their best foot forward in this build. I adore that wallpaper design used throughout your building, it really ties it all together, and works well with the colour scheme you have going on inside of your entry. The oasis idea is a really nice touch and is an incredibly interesting feature, as I almost forgot to mention.

I like this hotel, especially the curved glass rooftop. The foliage on the sides from the trees at the corner look nice at that view. This hotel is quite appropriate for a casino type setting. I feel the Werknorthom Windows for the hotel clashes a bit. Due to the economic nature of a common consumer destination, the hotel feels boxy in the back, thus lowering the build skill a bit. The guest rooms look typical of a Holiday Inn destination. The custom content used mixes well. I like the lobby, the wallpapering is colourful with its design. The flow between rooms is fine. I feel there's an appropriate amount of clutter around to furnish the property.

Although I like the clever idea of the dock and boathouse, it seems like you did not take into consideration any of the advice given to you from the first round primarily with your boat station, or the tips from the second round as well. I still like what you did with the front of the boathouse, but it feels like that's all you did in your entry really that is worth noting, you could have added some sort of other features to the building like other points of access or some railings to the docks. Really, you could have added more to the building or maybe another building, applying an out-of-the-box idea to make your entry unique amongst the rest rather than 'just a typical lake with a dock'.

I like the wood and rustic touches you gave to your building and furniture as the era you have chosen does not seem to be greatly influenced by the industrial revolution spurring throughout Europe. Yet again, I highly suggest going along closer to that path with the upcoming class of the bourgeoisie as your inspiration. I really need to something that makes me say 'wow' instead of 'meh'. You show the initial steps towards a good entry, but it feels like the effort is minimal or quickly thrown together. This is again the case here as you have seating, greenery, and boats, that's it, nothing else. Like I said above, do something unique and clever pertaining to your location, and I guarantee it will be impressive.

So you have a lake lot with a pier and a couple of boats nearby. It's a rural area, and as you mentioned, not a lot going on at the beach. It's a very simple build, with few if any rooms. Because the build was quite simple, I feel that this may have hurt the score, as there is little variety to observe in regards to infrastructure being constructed on the property. Another concern is the landscaping. There is the appropriate beach rocks to grass area. There are the minimum required lounge chairs, a BBQ being substituted with a hanging pot, and parasols. There could also have been more terrain designs to make the property look more interesting to observe. Additionally, more rocks, or bushes, or other outdoor clutter could have helped.

This is really your atypical leisure centre if you ask me, or well it’s much more of one for the adventurous as well as for the lumberjacks. I like the open-to-the-outdoors dining area, along with all the wood and stone touches. I shouldn't forget to mention that I absolutely adore your 'climbing' structure that you created, it is incredibly clever and definitely an idea worth pursuing outdoors in this sort of destination. I really like the aspect of the 'danger pool' underneath a portion of it, but it would have been nice that it could have been somehow accessible for sims as well, but it's ok that it isn't.

I just have to say that I completely forgot that the log rolling and axe throwing are obvious and intelligent choices that work as your venue's sports arena, I honestly think I forgot about those objects' existences since they are keen to this sort of destination only. However, they are clearly put to good use and work well with the surrounding lodge-like environment you created. I find the guard-bear right at the front quite cute and a nice touch. All the greenery and landscaping around your tree-top experience is absolutely beautiful and I think you did an outstanding job creating it. I honestly can't believe that you were able to make this lot without any CC, really amazing job.

It's a very good lot, with an interesting tree house playground (an innovative string ladder), and good sporting events (log rolling and axe throwing). Nice terrain paint for pathways, and a variety of trees and bushes outside. In regards to interior furnishings, it was appropriately wooden. It would have been better to have more wood-themed clutter objects in the dining room portion of the building. This destination works well for families.

I like the idea of two stores consisting as your convenience store venue, since it's nice that multiple functions can occur on such a space. Though with the design of the build, it feels like you improved in some ways and not so in others. I am happy that you sized down your entry quite a bit, as now it seems well-sized for your choice of venue and slightly matches your destination theme. See what I mentioned down below for what I mean by that. I think your build looks somewhat basic in my opinion, as there is some detail but not a lot and I firmly believe that more could have been put in like your previous entry.

You have nice checkerboard carpeting in the convenience store, I like the colour theme inside. You also have offices nearby. The exterior decorations are sufficient, your property looks just fine. Could have used more plants near the parking lot/sidewalk area. The buildings can accommodate good flow for Sims from room to room. I feel that there could have been more clutter objects decorating the exterior walls of the buildings, to make it stand out more. I suppose yellow is the exterior colour scheme aimed for? Some landscaping, in terms of more uneven terrain, could also make the difference for a higher decorating score.

This is a really adorable camp site and I love the dedication. I can't believe a place like this, near the beach used to exist and it sounds like an amazing experience that I have missed out on. The dedication was also sweet, I should mention. I really like the camping unit you constructed as well as the semi-elevated pool, and the stingy-ish bathrooms are always a nice touch. I like the sense of semi-permanence this site gives me, even though the memories established here will last for a lifetime, pity due to their rarity.

This is quite well decorated and thought out as a cheap and quick place to spend the night. Though I am given the impression that the people are not here solely for the amenities. I like the layout of greenery, but felt that you could have still added a bit more, or some other things to fill a bit more space. Like maybe a campfire? I know it is more of something that's more woods-y but it is usually an activity that gets people socializing and is matched perfectly with a camp-site, no matter what destination. I almost forgot to mention that I like that tiki statue placed out front as well!

Nice property, the beach is designed with a parking space for a trailer on the side. How interesting. I can see that there's a nice small pool to attract tourists, and then a playground, and a grill to eat at. They can also stay in tents too. I feels like a cosy place to visit. The decorations are nice, although more clutter objects might have worked out. In regards to infrastructure, it's limited to bathrooms, the trailer, and pool. Because of the simple design of the bathrooms and pool, build scoring was low, but the trailer (although not technically a "building") helped it a bit. The concern was that there wasn't much building involved, when compared to the entries.

I absolutely love how you downplay how spectacular the design of your lodge presented here is. Everything about this lot is super rustic and matches the destination so nicely, I am currently at awe at your creation. I definitely love the bridge and the dam made for that pond, your lot has a ton of detail for something that you consider quickly done. You made the required shell appear as a natural portion of the building, likewise it's design is impeccable.

Once again, and amazing looking forest property. The varied roof sections and angles, the perfectly curved wood bridge the river, and beaver dam. This lot is so vivid and realistic that I think you're qualified to be an home designer as a career. Amazing detail with the green moss, bushes and rocks everywhere, and that's just the exterior. As for the inside, lots of furnishings, and great use of overlapping Maxis objects to create new objects. I hope you know that you can't get two ribbons! Absolutely a spectacular lot, and this time it follows the requirements to its technicality.

This is such a cute little camping ground, I love the separation of each site and the small bathroom building in the back. The natural pool in the centre is a clever idea, and I like how there are those tire tracks around it. It just feels so quaint and cosy, a similar impression that I also felt from your previous entry as well. I can tell that you took the criticism from last round in to consideration here, and it has definitely payed off well.

The cars are one of my favourite little touches to this site which makes it feel so realistic, even though it's so small. I like all the clutter you put into each camp site, another realistic touch. The landscaping around your entry is beautiful and really well done. The horseshoe tossing activity is a good space filler and seems to tie in well with your destination.

I still think that this mini camping site is possible in cottage country, or well maybe it’s closer to the small town and they sold a lot of their land. Like your lot could be that place where people try out camping, or well glamping, for the first time, but still want to be close to urban life.

Quite a beautiful looking camp ground, very inviting for tourists to stop by, feels like it can be a cosy spot. Looks like a mini-swamp in the middle, green with leaves floating around. You've certainly got the right amount of clutter objects and items to fill up the designated spaces for the campers. As for the interior of the building at the corner, the flow would probably be an issue, since walls and doors are squeezed together in a small space. You've furnished it well. I feel if the building was made a bit larger, then the build score would be higher. Overall, a fine effort.

This harbour is really unique and I think it suits your destination really well. The manipulation of the lot to add a shoreline is really clever and better explains your coastal location. The stone touches that mix between French and Spanish are clearly a definitive feature of this location, obviously it’s a transitional zone between the two cultural styles. I like the idea of a seaside walkway, the little dock, and that arched gate to access that garden to the side.

I really like your choice of furniture, very traditional to its location and doesn't feel like too much. You have created an ideal spot for travellers to go, no matter what number or age. The only reason why I didn't give you the full amount of points was because I felt that you could have landscaped that front corner garden a little better, like you did with the side. Also, your walkways felt like they could have used a bit more potted plants or some sort of other clutter to fill up the space a little better, like maybe even a trash can or something.

An interesting dock for boats, and mainly a restaurant. The exterior walkways for pedestrians have great stone tiles. I like the small garden area where the trees at the bottom corner are situated. The colours mix well together for the destination theme sought after. The custom content used inside the restaurant look good, with different tones of brown, and stone and brushed walls inside. I like the illuminate sign outside at night. It's certainly and great place to visit. The flow looks like it would work. A very good property.

I like the idea of somebody's apartment over a cafe, which is a good source of inspiration to design your build using. I still felt like you could have had a bit more on the lot that reflected the resident's property outdoors, like maybe a mini backyard or garden for them or something, like you did on your previous lot. I really like the layout of this building and how it easily appears to match the British-tropical style as you described and I understood from your previous entry.

The amount of landscaping you did on your lot is absolutely amazing and definitely suits your lush theme and particular climate. The design of the apartment and cafe are traditionally styled, which I think works well here. I love that 'inglenook' that you created, it really suits your build. When I saw the pictures, that view of the dining room with fireplace in the middle was amazing. The colour choices used in the dining room blends well. I enjoyed the gardens, and use of space around the home on the property. The building is simple, but looks very good. It's a very warm and inviting place to go to as a visitor. I like your concept for this theatre, unfortunately the lot feels a bit unfinished. It's hard to tell based on the angle of your screenshots, but I'm wondering if the stairs could be simplified somewhat into a single set of stairs and a walkway.

The decoration inside the theatre is nicely done and fits your theme. It would be nice to see a little more of that "ancient civilization" sort of flare carried throughout the lot, especially in the elevator tower.

This entry seems quite thrown together in my opinion, which it likely is since you mentioned lacking inspiration, but I felt that you could have still made small touches. Like previous criticisms which I see a reoccurrence of here, like how the helipad is just 'plopped' there, not much else. Really, this entry looks like it's missing a lot of little touches, though I am glad that you at least coloured the ground like you did previously. I am certain that you have a lot more potential than this, but I am rather unimpressed and upset that I am unable to imagine was your destination is able to offer.

You displayed the initial very few steps of your previous entry, but continuing from what I said above you could have done much more. Anyhow, you could have added the underwater landscaping or maybe other ruins like before, even though it's recycling your previous idea, it would be at least something that makes your entry stand out. I hope that you figure out what you're aiming for and try to draw inspiration from what you want your rich tourists to do while visiting Atlantis.

This property feels rushed, I feel that it's missing many of the seaweed deco that would have been part of the property. I feel that more objects when placed onto the property would have been ideal. I wish for the next entry to be worked out better. Furnishing is very limited. Although the custom content is interesting, and the terrain painting is good, the rest of the property becomes limited in its execution.

Is it possible to zoom in to your lot's floor plan? I can't see the details very well. Or perhaps add another picture of the floor plan at a zoomed in frame.

It was that back wall that goes in 2 tiles width, it was half of my kitchen. I took one tile width out of the dining room and gave it to the kitchen, so it's okay, just a bit skinny.

After two or three weeks of chaos (knowing this was likely to happen is the reason why I nearly didn't enter in the first place), the round 3 build is approaching completion and I'm finally in a good place to sit back and look systematically through the entries for round 2, rather than just skimming through for rule changes and picking up on things that happened to catch my eye at the time. So, sorry it's late, people, but I really wanted to say:
@LucyBorgia: How on earth did I miss the Chalet School references? I remember admiring your old-fashioned Dover Ferry Terminal and noticing the chalet in round 1, because I've also had a go at building one and they're tricky - inevitably square and 'blocky' but not at all boring if done properly, which is difficult. I really liked yours. Then, going through round 2 again, I saw the word 'Briesau' and did a double-take. I've now re-read all of your entries, and as a CS reader of long standing, love them .
@clw8: I really liked your campsite. It's nothing like any I've stayed in but somehow very familiar all the same .
@Charmful: I love the casino. The way you incorporated the non-deserty plants was inspired.
@joandsarah77: your treetop adventure looks great fun (not so sure about the axes, though :P). I've come across real-life versions in a number of different places recently and keep meaning to have a go...
@Monsieur_Oshima: I've been deliberately avoiding looking at this one, because I knew I also wanted to build a harbour at some point (round 3, as it turns out) and I didn't want to accidentally pick up ideas. It's a really pretty build; one of my favourites so far. I particularly like the little circular walls around the trees and shrubs (being stuck with octagons most of the time is a recurring minor annoyance) - are they a Sims 2 feature or CC?

Probably fell between two stools there. I wasn't sure whether to show the whole thing or just the cottage itself (which, come to think of it, would probably have meant demolishing part of the garden) and ended up with that screenshot as a compromise.

It's not really somebody's own apartment. The way I interpreted Karen's requirement was as somewhere you'd rent for a week or two's holiday. They do occasionally have their own outdoor space but more usually have either none at all or permission to share part of the owner's garden.
Sorry this lot is not more exciting. We have all had colds and my mother is in hospital. I was not feeling inspired. I think the deco looks okay, just that it's shape is boring. :/
