Hi, so this isn't really a huge issue as I can use the simblender to age to YA, but it's still weird that this has happened and I don't know why. I'm not sure when it started happening because it hasn't really affected my gameplay at all I just sort of miss it...

The videos that play when you send sims to uni, both the one with a parent and without, no longer play which means the sim doesn't age to a YA on its own. EVERY other video in the game plays just fine (the woohoo, engagement, etc) just not the uni ones.
The screen sort of freezes for a moment, and then it readjusts the angle and a taxi pulls up and the teens get out of the taxi and just stand there as teens on the uni lot, and I have to use the simblender mod to age then into YA. Once I do that it's all normal and fine.

But why have the videos stopped playing?

It sounds like you may have a mod that effect University and it may not be working right.

I do have a few mods....how do I know what I need to fix?

Pull them out 1 at a time and see what happens but make sure you use a testing hood to do this in.

The video only runs AFAIK when you send a sim to a lot with no other students sims on it. I have an accommodation office lot on both Little Carping's university campuses for this very reason.

As for having to age them manually, that shouldn't happen - even if you import a teen sim onto a university lot just for a visit (I mean drag them there with a teleporter), if you make them playable they will age. So I'm inclined to agree with marka, sounds like a mod conflict.

Not to necro a 5 year old thread, but at some point since then I discovered the problem was inteen. I don't remember why, but since I really had no use for inteen anyway I just had it, after removing it the YA transition cutscenes played and they properly aged. I think because iteen allowed you to have other age groups in uni.
Just was bored and reading my old posts and just in case this happens/happened to anyone else.
