This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default Sims 2 Basegame won't reinstall????? HELP :(
I recently uninstalled my Sims 2 Basegame but I wanted to reinstall it again. However this box keeps popping up at 5%
Hopefully an image is attached.

I think something corrupted when I uninstalled it because I don't think I have anything left of the Sims 2 on my computer, even from expansion packs. Is there a place I can check on my computer to get rid of the thing bugging out the install? I have Windows 10.

EDIT
I figured it out! The disk had some smudges and that solved the problem
