Anime head in the sims
Hey guys! It’s actually been a bit since I’ve last posted on this forum but I’ve been working on something and finally got a solid grounding on it. I’m gonna share my progress work so far.

So this project is a joke, mostly for my friends. It’s a fun little thing I stream on discord and we all joke about how cursed it is.

So first things first, originally I started just porting hairs. For today Rin Kagamine is the girl we’ll be making.

It’s a bit ragged given the model I used but I’m making it work. Of course I make sure to read the rules to make sure everything I’m doing is perfectly fine with the creators (thankfully it is.)

Now one day as I was drawing at my computer I had the epic thought of, ‘what if I ported the entire head into the sims’ I ended up laughing but ended up doing.

The first time was, trial and error. Mostly for the texturing part given that I would have to resize and edit the texture to match the sims 4 required file size. For a base mesh I used the female robot head which is most ideal for this project. The end result was..ok I managed to port the head but not being able to weigh everything down left room for glitches.

I still consider it a success none the less and learned a new way to make sure to weigh everything down. Now this makes the most recent time I’ve touched this. This time I tried to port both the hair and head in once. The process was the same as before. Editing textures and such. And I was happy to say it was a success I was very happy for the outcome and this time due to my new method nothing was glitching and I successfully ported anime heads into sims.
