She probably just used the same texture, it happens a lot.

Yes, I realized that they where the same texture after uploading them. Damn you google!

The hair is from sims 2 sisters, but their website doesn't seem to be there anymore.

Does the gloss have some colour in it or is it just plain?

Yes, it has color in it. It isn't actualy 'sheer,' it has a fully white alpha.
