Woo sounds like an awesome idea, too bad I don't like the Ancient times. I guess I'll wait for the next challenge. Good luck to all others!

Did I really say that?

That's a great idea, I don't want to play in The Ancients with my Sims so I'm not gonna gonna create/ download anything for/ from this challenge, but who knows what future challenges will come, I'll always check it out.

It seems to me that alot of the kinds of things which people will likely make for this challenge would fit right into a MODERN University neighborhood too! :D

Whiterider! Does greek mythology fall in the greek civilization category or no?

Hmm, an interesting idea!

I have an idea of what I'm gonna make, but it's only a lot, yet I'll need to make some custom content for it, and I don't have the foggiest idea how to.

But it'll be fun to try all the same!

Masterofallvideogames, absolutely! Any uploads you can normally find on MTS2, that ranges from the expected things like hair, clothing, sims, objects, to CAS houses, lots, hacks, careers and university majors... anything

sherlee_80, yup, absolutely. Greek, Egyptian and Roman civilisation are the obvious ones - but it'd be awesome to see stuff from more obscure areas such as the Mayans too!

I'm not really all that great at creating anything.....yet, but I thought I would post a few helpful info on the ancients for anyone else trying in case they want to participate but have yet had inspiration. Hope these may be helpful.

During the ancients there were also:

The Druids and Pagans
Christians
Confucious and Buddha
The Olmecs in Africa

Also there were the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World

The Pyramid of Giza
Hanging Gardens of Babylon
Zeus Statue at Olympia
Temple of Artemis at Ephesus
Mausoleum at Halicarnassus
The Colossus of Rhodes
The Lighthouse of Alexandria

Hope this is helpful :p

So wait, I'm a little confuzzed as to how we actually enter something. Where do we actually upload it? Just the way we normally would in the uploads area, and mark it as an entry there, or do we upload somewhere separate?

You use the upload wizard, and upload it to the Contests -> The Ancients area in the first screen.

Me again... just a quick question, who decides what the themes are?

Not that this is a bad theme, it's just that different people have different ideas, some which may weild interesting results...

I'm suggesting an area on the site where members can input ideas for future themes.

Just an idea...

A.F.R.O., the Ancients was a random suggestion used during staff discussion of the idea which we decided we liked: but we're trying to work out a way to let members pick each month's theme.

And tubbyplayer, we're going to take into account the level of entrants as well as the quality of the entry, so the Exceptional trophies will go to people who have exceeded themselves, not just people who are very, very good to begin with
