Default How much custom content is in your game?
Discuss how many downloads you have, how much hard drive space it takes up, what you have the most of, etc etc.

With just the sims2 ,My computer has 60% free space left..after all of the cc I have, there is only 40% left .I haven't counted how many downloads I have because it would probably scare me!

I try to keep it around 1 gig or between 4000 and 5000 files. I just cleaned out 1.5 gig and am at my goal of 1 gig right now. It's way too much since I only have a laptop!!! but I have a hard time parting with much of it. And I've been dismayed to find, after a few crashes and losing cc and neighborhoods, reloading, etc., that some of the stuff I've had is not replaceable, the creator has "retired" or removed stuff from sites. So now I'm really relucantant to part with anything I really like. I've started saving the "overload" to a thumb drive!! :b It's a sickness...

What do I have? What don't I have??? I must have 200 hair files, 20 eyeshadow files, at least 20 houses. 10 cars and recolors. Premade sims beyond count!! At least a few hundred "build" items. Everything made by Ailias, corvidophile, enayla, nazariopilar, patul, etc. Several hundred clothng files!!! Curtains!! Help me...I can't stop!!! :smash:

I have too much, its causing my computer to react badly, it takes 10 minutes to load up the game and about a minute everytime enter or exit a lot. my computer can't handle the massive downloads folder I have.
#7 Old 22nd Jul 2007 at 12:28 AM
About 3,000 files which is 625 MB. Although I have some downloaded that I haven't installed yet. I am into objects for the most part, so that is mostly what I have downloaded, doesn't mean that I don't have plenty of clothes, though.

I cleared out my Downloads folder a few weeks ago so it's now sitting at just over 2gig. I just got fed up with my game taking 15 minutes to load up so I decided to delete absolutely everything and start again, lol

I have 25,000 files, just over 7.2Gb (thankfully I have a big hard drive )
It's mostly objects, I can keep on top of my bodyshop stuff. The worst folder is Decorative, the last time I cleared it out I deleted 2000 files just in that folder. I mean, just how many plants and fruit bowls do I need?

Currently I've got 6,725 files (2.36 gigs), but I just got done cleaning it out about a week ago. I had hoped that getting rid of all my extra DLs (it was up to 4 gigs) would quicken it up a bit, but alas, it has not. Now I'm getting physical memory error warnings and such... seems like time for another tune up.

7 gigs? Wow. I don't quite have that much: just a little under 1 gig. It's mostly hair, clothes and makeup, though. I am a total bodyshop addict.

As of now...6054 files. Thankfully they, all my school work and all the Sims 2 expansions take up less than 1/4 of my hard-drive. Hooray! :D

42 files from other sources - the Insim, Maty hacks, Paladin Place hacks, but a lot of files that are mine

But I never kicked the downloading habit, and as of now, I have 26Gb of downloads chipmunked away.

I have about 4,5 GB (14863 files) of custom content. I used to have a lot more but I did some cleaning recently, after I got the message that my hard drive was full
However, I'll have to delete more files, I am constantly downloading more stuff. So I try to keep only the things I use frequently ...
Most of the stuff I have are objects and object recolors, closely followed by (AF) clothes.
