Can you download patterns and put them in the game?
I found a website with repeatable patterns on it (I know I can only use it for myself). Can you download them and simply put them in a folder to show up in the game?

The short answer is "no".

You have to specify recolorable regions, and then export them as .dds and use Delphy's tool to make them usable.

Patterns in the game are not just bitmaps.
