Good to know and thanks matrix54 Now if EA puts one in the store, I can a least buy it for my game. What else is base game? I'd like to have the DJ booth and the board games. Keep digging!!

If a sim is in the medical profession, sims around them can have "emergencies" and then your sim runs over and uses all sorts of gizmos to help them

I learned that if your sim has a negative moodlet, like has to pee, and you click it, they will go find a toilet and pee. Never knew that.

Nothing I learned from actually playing the game, but something I got after several hours trying to code a TS3-related utility: Windows 7 gets very bitchy about what files she lets you screw with through a program. And I finally learned why none of my hand-written .cfg files were saving wonky in the progress.

Time for me to dig up more stuff. :p

-There's a texture for Lava called lava-effects, but I don't think I'll find the effect. It's probably removed from files.

-Working out from Pull-up bars are a base game feature (shocked me as well).

-Being a bouncer is an Amb. role. o_O (it's for LN), but still, it's pretty odd)

-Watching Sims play Piano, Drums, etc. is also base game interaction. :p

-There's coding for A Video Poker Machine. 2 Sims interact and play a game online. The machine can also be hacked to increase pay amount.

-In case you all missed it, there's coding for an elliptical machine.

-There's coding for tutorial NPCs

I noticed that too when I could place a doll on a "shelf" inside the toys oven

I learned that if you sort of fail at the daycare career, you can get suspended and need to attend a daycare course at the city hall.

Yep, has to pee, peckish or hungry, tired and stressed moodlets, when clicked on will make Sims do whatever they need to do to remove those moodlets. I don't remember if the sore moodlet works the same as well.

I learned today that the upside to the romantic reputation system is that Sims finally can get caught cheating more easily. My Sim was having an affair with a married Dustin Langerakk and when Dustin came home from his tryst, his wife was waiting for him at the door to accuse him of cheating. I had done this to traumatize Kaylnn and turn her into the conniving skank made famous in TS2 but she already had a terrible relationship with her mother so she didn't even care that her parents split up. So that's another thing I learned: children aren't always hurt by divorce in the game.

I just realized how easy it is for EA to add stuff to the registers. From digging through the files alone, all they'd have to do is add the item name, and fill in a few variables. That's it. If a Sim was at home, the general store register could sell almost anything. From furniture to build/buy items.

Selling candy or ice cream would, literally, be a walk in the park for them.

Food is exactly the same way, except you'd need an external reference for the cooking process, the item etc. but it's VERY easy.

Wow Matrix54 you've been working hard at digging. Great info though. I'm psyched that the pull up bars are base game. Now I just have to wait for EA to throw one in the store or for some very talented person to created one to be put in arches or on the wall... something like that. Woohoo!!

Well, I've have to double check that, but the interaction for the bar was labeled as a base game, but the animation and such I'll have to check.

Also, there is coding for lemons in the game, and it's listed for the store. o_O?

*continues looking*

This is about Personas, and it should make everyone smile. I've never head anything about this before. ^_^
I assume it's part of a tab in CAS, and you select from a predetermined set of traits. I wish it more in depth that just 5 preset traits, but here you go:

There's a lot btw... and it's limited to the base game.

Thanks Matrix interesting stuff. Did anyone else notice the Unforgiving trait? <Trait3>Unforgiving</Trait3>

I scanned through but it was the only trait not base-game I don't think its in any eps either Perhaps it was cut?

It's either renamed or cut.

There's pool/billiard related item names in the base game. D: There's a cue, a rack, etc.

There was an old thread about these at MATY... it was pretty much dismissed as an abandoned EA effort.

I created quite a few sims based on the "recipes" though...

At least we know it's possible. Now, I'll stop posting what I "learned". I seem to have highjacked this thread, and made news because of it.

Wow, that's........................interesting. But, what is it?

Don't stop posting, this stuff is actually pretty cool to know. It's a bit like knowing what an EGR valve is for, before it gets clogged up and stalls your car on an off ramp.

I was trying to modify the heights of walls and such to see if I could make stages, like in the Sims 2 (since they are a heck of a lot more useful then platforms). I'll need a bit of help from someone more experienced though. I tried a lot of combinations (loading the game over and over...) but it either removes the floor to build on, or it just shapes the walls.

I think it could work, but I'm not the one to do it.

It's obviously the first time that I use this jog machine (from HELS?) in the darkness 'cause I discovered only today that it has a moving LCD lign that emulates the road!! (in pink in the pic) It's a pretty cool detail actually
