Good job!! Finally an authentic Military experience for my sim! I was never fond of the default Military career, mostly because of inacurracy, AND for it's highest rank: Astronaut... WTH?
Would be cool if you could implement opportunities and events. Until then.. Thanks for sharing :D

I just found out my submission was approved! Chris@ngelo and eskie227, thank you so much for your kind words! This is my absolute first crack at any sort of modding. I guess you CAN teach an old dog new tricks! I hope you enjoy the career!

This is really very good for your first attempt at a mod. I have a question though. Do we need to download the military career outfits also, or do they come with the mod?

This is amazing, it's about time we had a more realistic career track, the other ones bother me! Thanks!

As the other comments are stating above: amazing. You should make it so the sims get called up for deployment and go away (like the parents do in Generations for the free vacation)

THANK-YOU!! THANK-YOU! I LOVE your career! Particularly the realistic titles and hours. Here's hoping you do this for ALL of the EA careers!

It's nice, but I'm going to be honest: I'm not loving the strict Male/Female Combat/Administration split. It may be realistic, but it's still sexist and alltogether wrong.

A better choice, IMO, would be to have the career branch at E-3 => E-4, with the options of Combat and Administration path choices.

This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Great mod, can't wait to try it out! But I could make one suggestion? I'd love it if you could some how make it possible for there to be some sort of deployment? Like, send the sim away for a week, possibly longer. Then perhaps have mood effects on the sim's family members, like, "missing your loved one in the army." Something to think about, cause I sure know I missed my brother when he was sent off to fight for our country. Btw, thank YOU for fighting for our country, sir veteran(:

jmtexas1980 - I actually had an officer career on my list of to-do's. Thanks for the suggestions in your PM. I'll make this career my next project. Glad you liked it, and thanks for the encouragement. HOOAH!

They come with the mod. You'll only need to download Sentate's Unisex Military Boots for the female fatigues (or watch with horror as they march along in high heeled pumps!) and be sure you have the World Adventures EP if you want to see the female DI hat. Thanks for your interest and kind comments!

Ibaill - Please tell your son "thank you" for me. I was proud to serve and greatly appreciate the willingness of our young men and women to serve, especially in these troubled and very dangerous times. May the LORD God Almighy keep him and his comrades safe, and may all of our troops return home soon!

I don't have the Generations EP, so I'm not familiar with the free vacation. It sounds intriguing, though I'm not sure that I have the skills to do something like that. I'm still trying to find information on how to customize the opportunities/events so that I can include them in a career!

You'll have to pardon me. I'm a bit old school, probably because I'm a bit old! I do appreciate your suggestion to branch the career. I think it's a good one. This being my first ever attempt at creating a mod, I didn't want to get overly ambitious. I may give your suggestion a try, as time permits. Thanks!

I'm actually working on a TS2 to TS3 career conversion. Won't tell which one just yet. Don't want to spoil the suprise!

I hate to say this, but as a female in the Army, I know I would never make it to SMA. You got to be combat arms, and well, you boys don't want us there, sexist or not.

This is great work. I am a female Army Veteran and serve overseas doing NOT admin stuff. It's great to have combat or admin jobs but females can be a 1SG and so forth. Choosing either options would be great. I am just saying. BUT...GREAT JOB, anyway!!!

agonzalez - First of all, Thank you for your service. I know there are double and triple standards, not just in the Armed Forces, but in pretty nearly all professions. But since we're talking Sims here, perhaps you could live vicariously through your female sims and actually BECOME the SMA! Anything's possible in Sims, don'cha know?!

sonjasierra - I would also like to thank you for your service as well. I'm seriously thinking about branching this career into the two career tracks as suggested, particularly since I'm getting beat up pretty badly by the ladies!

OMG I cannot believe I missed this completely!! Thank you so much for this mod and for your service. I have family in the military in different branches and different countries and appreciate all their service, now I can get my sims to do the same. I'd really love to see a deployment option but this will do for starters Thank you for the hard work and for sharing.

Default English strings translation to french
Hi mflaha55,

I translated the english strings to french ones but there are still some things I wasn't able to translate, there is some expressions that I dont understand in the lines below or don't know the name for them in french. If you could explain them, maybe I could finish the french translation.

Go to PT
First to rise, last in the chow line and last to hit the rack
Now you're off to AIT to learn the fundamentals of your MOS.
Specialist Four
Put on your Sgt Rock face and make 'em give you 20!
which means keeping the LT out of trouble!
in keeping Battalion Ops
You're a rough and tough Senior NCO
Your pep talks raise the morale of the troops tenfold
That third rocker plus that diamond
