Default Chris Hatch's family friendly files archived on SFS
As some of you know, I made my log in info at BAS available to anyone who wanted it so we can all get what we want before the site closes. Well, as per my life, some people used it easily, while others never could get it to work. ("Smorbie?" the site would ask. "Never heard of her"!) So, I told people I would be glad to get them anything they needed.

After a couple of requests for everything on the Family-Friendly list, I said "duh, that's what I have the SFS account for". So, I have now uploaded EVERYTHING on that list. http://simfileshare.net/accounts/profile/. that may get you nowhere as I have just been informed that each download has a separate URL, and there are a lot of them. I'll try to copy and paste them all on here, but I'll just edit the post because I don't want to hold anyone up.

Go, shop, play.

A couple of things (of course)
1. This was a lot of work and I did get punch drunk a few times, so please go NOW and download what you want. The archive will be there till the sun burns out, I hope, but Chris' site won't. I need to be able to correct what is missing in just the next few days. So, it would help me out if someone would do that.
2. I did upload what looks like the files for the Angels and Nurses expansion set. I couldn't get the other set to allow me to see those files. So, we may be SOL where that's concerned. If someone would please p.m. me and give me your regular email address, and let me try to email you these files, install and test them, I would be grateful.
3. Pictures. Sometimes they would copy and sometimes not, so eventually I gave up on them. I'm sorry.
4. I TRIED to include all referenced files. If I didn't, please let me know.
5. I downloaded everything for everything, so READ the instructions before you just put it all in your game. There are versions for pre OFB and post OFB or pre and post pets, for example. Obviously, trying to install both would be bad, maybe even a VBT. So, please read.
6. Chris Hatch is a sims genius who needs to move into my house ASAP and do nothing but make mods for me. We are going to MISS him. I hope he lands somewhere great and lets us know . I would pay for his mods, and I never say that.
7. I'm still at it, guys. If there's anything you want, let me know. The site closes the end of the month, so time is of the essence. You don't have to know exactly where the files are located, but I do need enough info to enable me to google it. The site is difficult to navigate at the best of times.
8. THANK YOU to everyone who has helped me do this. I know I'm a pest and seriously too stupid to learn a lot of this stuff, but you are always willing to help, and I do appreciate it.

Yes, it does. I edited and pasted all the URL's. It should work fine, now. If it doesn't, of course, PLEASE let me know.

thanks.

Thank you so very much for sharing! There are several goodies here I'm curious to try out, both some I've heard of and some I've not. Wondering though, is there a pregnancy controller version w/o miscarriage?

Noticed that the senior center and kids camp links are switched around.

Thanks, I will check on those links. I told you I was punch drunk.

I'm going to go check on the pregnancy controller w/o miscarriage. I don't think there is. I think that's why he made it, but I'll go right now and look.

thank you for your feedback. :0

EDIT: Okay, I fixed the links. Again, thank you for checking that for me. I went back and read about the pregnancy controller. The whole point of the mod was so that people who didn't have inteen installed could experience miscarriage. He's good about putting all the versions of a mod on the same page (which is SO helpful because I don't have to chase around), and there isn't a non-miscarriage one. Nor is there any mention about requests for one.

Chris is somewhat active on this site. You could send him a p.m. and request it.

You're very welcome, that's the least I could do. =)

Yeah, I've seen him around here and there. Might make such a request at some point. Atm I've just switched out Wild Child (which has at least part of CH's preg cont built in) to experiment with Lamare's YA pregnancy mods and don't know what I'll end up preferring, so don't wanna request something until I'm more sure I'd actually be using it a lot.

@smorbie1 I thanks you so MUCH for all the time you spend on getting Chris H Family Friendly mods. It really sadden me that so many "Outstanding Creators" have left or will be leaving the community.
I hope Chris will have a way of keeping his mods active for all of us. And I hope that his "Adults Mod" maybe get place on our sister site Sexy Sims or InSimAdult I know it is wishful thinking.
But once again thank you. I think I may need to sign up there ( SFS to get what I want. ) right ?

Smorbie, Thankyou so much for uploading them to some easily accessible place. I had been hoping for ages that somebody would.

@Simonut You shouldn't have to sign up just to download.

It never occurred to me we couldn't post them on SFS. I didn't do that, of course, because I just put what people were requesting.

EDIT: Jo's right, Simout. Just click the URL's and you'll go right to the page to download.

Did you ask Chris Hatch if it was ok? I mean, nice of you to store them but he is still an active creator, and comes here pretty often, it might have been polite to store them, but not make them available until you talked to him He might have had plans

Chris has stated publicly a few times that he is fine with people re-uplaoding his files so I doubt this is a problem. Would be nice to pm him and let him know though.

Thank you, Smorbie for doing this! There's a couple of his family-friendly things that I've wanted but haven't been able to get because of BAS's site bs.

I would say there's a bit of a difference between re-uploading a few things and everything, especially now when we know the site is closing and his stuff has to move either way. Has he made any public announcements about what he's going to do now his home site is closing? It's his creations, so maybe let him choose where he wants his stuff to be available in future. Unless he's said he's not planning to and that the community can figure it out for themselves.

I don't know, as a creator this whole thread makes me feel funny. Not a single "Thank you Chris Hatch" to be seen... That said I do think it's very nice of you smorbie, just like sharing your account with others to let them try and grab all the things they wanted. Your heart is in the right place.

Creations can be found on my on tumblr.

OpenDocument format. That's OpenOffice/LibreOffice (both free, but go with the latter). Newer versions of Microsoft Word can open it as well.

Having spent much of the day on BAS downloading Chris Hatch's more adult stuff, and reading (and copying) the opening post for each item (when I'd much rather have been playing!), I'd be very surprised if Chris was upset by anything in this thread. Repeatedly I've read "Do what you like with my stuff, just don't charge for it," or words to that effect. What smorbie is doing is rescuing his work when it might otherwise be lost. You're doing a good job smorbie -- don't worry about it -- I'm sure Chris won't. He says in answer to a post on BAS about what he plans for the future:

"I don't know for sure, I don't want to make promises and then not keep them and I don't want to say that I'm going to take a break from simming for a while because every time some says that they never come back.

"I will be frequenting Mamba City more often and intend to start posting stuff there if I can figure out how to post images. My intention is to go through the significant mods like the hospital and make sure any required files are still easily accessible and make any improvements that I can before re-uploading them.

"I don't know if there is any future for T&A and A&N though, the files without using xcopy (to suit Win10) will be around 1.5 gig each, which as far as I know is too large for free file hosting sites."
(XCOPY has evidently been removed in Windows 10. - AG)

Mamba City appears to be a Russian adult site, and seems to be a suitable place for sharing his more "adult" stuff. I wondered if Sim File Share might be able to host T&A and A&N. I don't know the maximum file size there but I've asked on Chris's behalf if they can be hosted there. I've posted in BAS to let him know what I'm doing, but I haven't asked his permission first -- there just isn't time. BAS will be gone in a week's time, and, since it's a site that's always required log-on, I doubt if it will be accessible through the Wayback Machine.

I put A&N on the site; I don't know whether it will download and work, though I did see the exe file. I couldn't put T&A on it, though. The program wouldn't let me open it to see the files.

I have to say it never occurred to me to ask him about archiving them inasmuch as someone said his mods all say he doesn't care what we do with them. If it offends someone that I did that, I'm sorry.

Thanks to those who defended my actions. As Gummi said, I was trying to do something nice. No on is forcing you to download them if you don't want them or feel I've overstepped my bounds.

SFS has always made me sign in before viewing. I think because it's an adult site.

Smorbie - I really appreciate you doing this and I understand that you're in a hurry to grab as much as possible before BAS goes offline, but I thought you should know about the following small problems.

Thanks again very much for doing these. I look forward to trying out some of this stuff in my game.
