On a more global basis, I allow my sims to perform complex behavioral experiments on me, take note of my reactions to various scenarios, and manipulate me to do their bidding. I know many players see the point of the game as the exact opposite of that, but such is a common misconception and it is they who have things backwards.

Play any adventure offered from every add-on pack.

That and make use of the CC and mods to make it an interesting world.

I like editing other people's stuff and turning it into other things. Sorry, I just can't help myself.
(I take no credit for the original work done by so many creative people, thank you!)

City planning! I'm currently saving up for a nice PC and have been using my ancient "craptop" for years now ($50 used from a friend, if that tells you the quality), so I can't actually play right now, but I can prepare. Part of what I love so much about The Sims 3 versus other games in the series is the massive choice you have for community lots/lot assignments. I've decided after playing for years in EA or custom pre-built worlds to finally bite the bullet and BUILD ALL THE THINGS! myself. It's daunting but also super exciting figuring out what architectural styles I want to use, what the layout of the town will be like, and gathering reference photos for some inspiration.

@KatyFernlily, I really love your building makeovers!

I enjoy playing without ANY cheats or exploits. I love the challenge of starting with 16K and earning enough money to live in a mansion through honest means.

I got bored and compiled some more pics of remakes as that is what I like to do in game. There is even one from the famous Murfeel!

I like placing things into the game that the official games dont have, like bus stations, religious buildings, brothels, tennis courts and stuff like that.

I've never, ever, seen a vacuum cleaner in any Sims game. Must be sweet living in ignorance.

Create a family with one sim and try to have them accomplish everything in the game. Eventually, I get bored and do the same thing with a slightly different sim.

Today I think I will challenge myself and play a family with TWO sims!

Diving. I like living in a tropical paradise and enjoy messing about in the water. My sim also supplements her income at the casino.....because there has to be a reason to go to town for loner sims.

I think it is time I add some vampire and plantsim into the gene pool and see how it turns out.

I'm currently playing the university town which I converted into a home world. My sims don't use smartphones and their living rooms look nowhere near as those in 2020. There are also phone booths in community lots so that they could call someone and invite over.

I play this way because I consider the 1990s the best time in my life. I wish I could go back in time. This song reminds me of those late 1990s. I didn't speak English back then and didn't understand the lyrics but who cares.

Ah yes, those are some of the same electronics I regularly use for the lower end of my households in the 1988 save. Your poor students, to be using that stuff in this day and age!
But those large-screen CRT televisions will always be cool. I have a slightly more high-end model I use for retro gaming. I bet anyone with a TV that large must've felt real cool about it 25 years ago. Back when 32" was not the smallest size you could reasonably have in your living room, but the largest. Mine is a 24" model, but the benefit of that is that I can actually pick it up and move it more than a foot without dying.

Actually, they're no longer students. As I was transforming the univeristy town into a regular world, all the students, professors, NPCs and townies became regular inhabitants of the town. Then I turned on twallan's SP and as time went on they all intermarried, had children and consequently created a typical sim town after one or two generations. The sims I sent you one or one and a half years ago were the 4th or 5th generation of those. I moved in the two premade plantsims and they were assimilated and as a result the only trace of plantsims is two female sims who have green hair. My sims don't play computer games or watch TV. They spend their free time with each other in public venues like The Grotto (pol. Grota) converted into a dance club. The nerd shop Keith's Komics (pol. Komiksy Krzyśka) has been converted into a consignment store etc.

The Sims you sent me, for which I'm still very grateful.....I may or may not have turned them all into boomers. One of the side effects of that save of mine is that everyone in it aged about 25 to 45 is a boomer. In fact one of the things I like to remind myself of is that at least 1 in every 4 Sims I have in that save is now dead, anno 2020. That's not a problem at all, but it does help me to create a different sort of people to what I would normally have in other saves. They look different than modern Sims, and because they don't carry cell phones, like yours, they also interact in a different way.

Besides, the whole digital thing's never worked in The Sims. After they added cell phones and online dating and multiplayer games and social media into the game, people are still sending their Sims to clubs several times a week. That's why there have to be so many community lots in such small worlds, because The Sims isn't fun if you just keep them indoors every day.

Hypocrisy is only okay if I do it.

I like to play with big families from the start. I like creating big families and then move them on and see how they struggle to make their dreams come true. Yes, most of the time I use the "freerealestate" cheat, usually excusing it with some kind of silly behind-the-scene story, like they inherited the house from a family member or some sh** like that, but trust me, it's still quite challenging playing big families from the start even with this cheat. And I just love that. On the rare occasions when I am playing just one or two Sims, I will always get bored and either leave the family altogether or will expand the family one way or another pretty quickly. That's what I like to do in the game.

btw, anyone know how to create plantsims? I clicked the icon in the CAS to choose and i have human, vampire, and ghosts (I don't have supernatural). Plantsims came with university right? I remember seeing premade homeless ones in the population.

Yeah they came with University Life. If I remember correctly, your sim has to eat a Forbidden Fruit to become a plantsim. Or you can just use Master Controller if you have it.

Does chatting up a rich sim, asking to move in and then kicking them out, count? To be fair, the kicking out happens after moving to a mansion through honest means. And they get my starting money.

Well morally, I guess it could be count as cheating in rl too. But, I guess it is cheating since the way finances are handling with the household splittings being unfairly divided. Like I mean, I think splitting a household of two roomates should reasonably split their funds evenly in half, no?

P.S. Sorry for my bad english.
