Default Disable WooHoo for Sims 3?
Has anyone come up with a mod that disables WooHoo from the Sims 3? I've got a 6 year old who wants to play the game but I'd like to avoid conversations leading to talk about the "birds and bees". Otherwise he's just starting to read and the game would be fun and a good learning tool. So is there a disable WooHoo mod or some other mod editing tool I can use to disable WooHoo?

Thanks.

It'd be kind of hard for him to just stumble upon woohoo in the game - sims that are in a romantic relationship have to both relax on a bed at the same time, and you have to have one selected and click on the other. Likewise with other romantic interactions - they don't come up unless you've romanced and romanced and romanced so he's not going to just stumble upon "make out" type interactions.

That being said, I'm taking a look in the XML tuning to see if it's easy to disable.

Edit: Looks like it was indeed quite easy:

That should disable woohoo and try for baby in both bed and rabbit holes. Not extensively tested so use at your own risk. Doesn't do anything for any other romantic interactions - kiss, make out, etc., are all still present.

NOT compatible with Awesomemod. Delete your ScriptCache.package before use.

(Me, I think if they're old enough to be curious about it, they're old enough to be told about it, but we all raise our kids how we think is best. Hope it helps. )

Thanks HP,

I haven't tested it yet, but that sounds just like what I'm looking for. I've seen your other posts and mods and I must say my interest in MTS would be greatly diminished were it not for you.

Will this disable NPCs from soliciting PCs? Will this mean that the town will not propagate or will NPC offspring still be generated?

As for you parenthetical note, I try to be liberal, honest and direct with my kids and, should he ask, I would certainly answer his questions in the most appropriate and healthy way I would know to be possible. However, at six years of age I don't see any reason to increase the odds of such a discussion.

Thanks again not only for your response, but for your work creating the mod!

NPC offspring is not created through woohoo but by, well, pulling babies out of their butts. I don't think this will stop that happening if you have story progression on, but it should stop the player from being able to direct woohoo. I've never seen any solicitation of woohoo - it's a non-autonomous action. Basically I made it so the player can't say to do it, and that it's disabled for all ages. Some wonkyness may result, I don't know, but seems simple enough to just turn it off. I tested quickly with a couple that's in love and engaged and they had the regular bed options (cuddle, kiss, make out) but couldn't go any further. Should at least keep any "What are they doing under the covers?" questions at bay.

Is there an update for this mod? Or can one be created?
I've been looking around for months for something like this so my younger kids can play. I downloaded this one and it didn't work, probably because there have been so many updates since it was made.

Can someone pls pls pls update it? ;D

Twallan's WooHooer also has the ability to disable WooHoo. I haven't got the link on me, but you can google NRaas Industries. The WooHooer can (among other functionality) disable WooHoo while leaving "Try for Baby" as a family-friendly option, or disable all WooHoo type interactions. Not sure if it's updated for Late Night yet, but his update cycle is usually very short.

Does anyone know if there are any mods/object hacks for instant pregnancies? I've figured out the No woo-hoo thing, but it gets kinda boring for them, having to adopt all the time.

This might be way more in-depth than you want, but I happened to see it as I was looking for another mod:

^just know that for the mod that SJane is talking about, it's not updated for the newest patch (and maybe not LN, though I wouldn't recommend LN for a 6 year old anyway XD)

Twallan's Master Controller will allow you to either impregnate a sim or have an instant baby. Get it where you got their Woohooer for disabling woohoo.

Would this work with the newest sims 3 update? Or are there any other newer versions?
Thanks!

CmarNYC's "pregnancy progress controller" let's you get your sims preggo instantly, and you can also make them give birth right away.
