Default Boyfriend/Girlfriend
Hello
I do apologize if this is in the wrong place. Im sorry. I am just wondering how I make my teen sim/young adult sim become boyfriend to another sim? My one sim's goal is the heartbreaker and he just got a girl pregnant so I am wondering how I get them to be boyfriend and gf. They are currently at romantic interest and the bar is almost full on that.

Thank you

You have to build up their "moods" with romantic interactions. When your sims talk to each other they go from thinking the other sim is "Okay" to "Friendly" to "Sociable". Well you have to make them flirt a lot until the other sim finds your sim "irresistable" then the boyfriend/girlfriend interaction will show up.

You have to keep them flirting, until it says "____ thinks ____ Is irresistibly irresistible" Or something along those lines. Once you get there, there should be an option to 'Confess Attraction'. Choose that. I'd suggest making sure their both 'Romantic Interest' with each other before hand though.

Yeah, the EA team has made it stupidly hard work to keep up Romance between sims. Perfect strangers will ask each other to 'move in' and sleep together and woohoo together, but established couples have it just as hard, if not harder. Go figure. All I can reckon is those folks have never had a serious, age appropriate, romantic relationship. Apparently none of them have had children and truly wanted to parent. If the game is any indication.

Well you know it's weird because premade married sims in Twinbrooks and Barnacle Bay have the first kiss option and some of them even have children. They've never kissed their spouse.

Thats quite funny, as Im fairly certain the higher romance options (Kiss, Woohoo, Makeout etc.) don't become available until after the first kiss anyway

What, you mean strangers don't hook up in real life?

Yeah my sims have had whoohoo already but nothing about asking them out. I have clicked on the confess attraction button so I am still trying.
This game does seem weird to have to work so hard to get to a relationship

Yes but their married and married premades in Sunset and Riverview don't have the first kiss interaction. They have the shy kiss and kiss interaction available when you play them for the first time. This is most likely a bug.

The option is "ask to go steady". Also, keep in mind that to fulfill the LTW of Heartbreaker, you'll have to break up with each girlfriend before you can get another.

Also, it's annoying in the Sims when my married couples take forever to get past "_____ thinks _____ is being flirty". However, in my real life I'm married with a two year old. Trust me, it takes some effort for me and my husband to get past the "make out" stage. ;p

So true! My daughter will be three in November. I definitely know what that's like.

I read that as your being married to a two-year-old about five times before it clicked.

I'd still be willing to bet you don't have to flirt and hold hands a billion times to give your spouse a massage, or stroke their cheek, or whisper in their ear. Although, I know what you're saying.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but I think that when your sims are best friends they will never get the option to confess attraction/go steady. You'll get those options only at friend or good friend status, but not best friend.

You can’t make any sims become romantically involved once they are more Than just friends ie good/best friends. You need to make them argue until they are “friends” then use the romantics options such as flirt until the option “confess atraction” is available. Use that and a heart will appear
in the relationships panel. After hanging out more they will then be able to propose going steady.

^^Really? In my game, it's the easiest thing in the world to go from 'best friends' to 'romantic interest'. Usually, it only takes one or two flirts, especially if they're both single.
