Default Collecting mycenas mushrooms?
I'm trying to finish all the alchemy elixirs, but I'm having trouble finding mycenas. Has anyone found these out in the world without using cheats? I'd prefer not to buy it, and would like to plant it my garden. I'd appreciate any help or tips. I have the collection helper but its no help!

I may be wrong, but I think there may be some around the Gypsy Caravan. But I have had a lot of success with my witch using the conversion ritual.

I'm playing a genie in Sunlit Tides. Is the Gypsy Caravan in worlds other than Moonlight Falls? I can't seem to find it. Hmmm i'll check in Edit town.....

Maybe you can find some in the alchemy consignment store?

EDIT: Just read that you don't want to buy it. Sorry D:

oh Sunlight falls, I don't know where they are in that town. The Gypsy Wagon isn't on a lot, it's in with the rabbitholes, so even if you place it on a lot, you wouldn't get the mushrooms. maybe you could use buydebug to plant it on a community lot? then you know where it is, and you won't be "buying" it.

Geez, I didn't realize this because as soon as the Elixir Consignment Store is plopped down to the world, I rearrange the garden so all SN harvestable plants grow there. D: Kinda cheaty, but I don't think I can find any elsewhere if I don't place them there in the first place. :s

Hey, if you buy just one from the store, you can plant it afterwards, right?

Yep, I usually do that.

The Gypsy Caravan, Fairy Arboretum and Vault of Knowledge have to be hand-placed in worlds other than Moonlight Falls. (Luckily they're small enough so you can plop em on just about any community lot you want.)

But of course those are just objects, and don't come with spawners attached Most EP-introduced collectibles (with the exception of WA ones) will spawn from already existing spawners of the appropriate rareness level. In other words, the lists of things the standard spawners can spawn just gets expanded when EPs add new collectibles.

So, to find a rare collectible in another world, unless you're going to add your own spawners with buydebug, you just have to look where the rare spawners are in that world. Those spawners will respawn faster if you keep collecting from them, by the way.

Alternatively, dogs and werewolves find collectibles with no reference to any spawners... which is why they can find WA items that aren't even supposed to be in this world (same with cats and fish). It's possible this stuff might also be returnable in the loot from "text adventures" like the magic wardrobe and arboretum, or possibly even older ones like the catacombs, time machine or dig tunnels... not sure where those objects get their lists. [Edit: come to think of it, I'm not sure dogs/werewolves ever come back with plants... though they do find bugs, oddly :/ ]

And, of course, witches can transmute into any alchemy item. Just with a pretty low probability

Thanks guys!

nikel23, I have considered buying and planting it, but I'm challenging myself to play the hard way with this family. I tend to use cheats waaaay to much! :P

Srikandi, you are amazingly helpful and informative as usual! Focusing on spawners is a good idea. I'll try that first.
