Default Back to 32...
Hey guys I hope you all are enjoying Get Together
I'm having problems with the new 64-bit, (bad decision to make it automatic for advanced computers In my opinion) The thing is my computer is Windows 7 and it is capable of running 64 but my graphics card is not, my game is choppy, really slow now and crashing, can anyone please tell me how to set my game back to 32-bit?

In Origin, right-click on the Sims 4, then select "View Game Details". On the right side you should see "Launch Options", click on Edit. Now click on the roll down menu and select 32 bits and click OK. And that's it! Next time you start the game it should run on 32 bits.

Open Origin
Go to My Games Tab
Right Click Sims4
Click Game properties in dropdown
Switch to 32Bit at the top where it says "when launching this game" via dropdown.

When an engineer says that something can't be done, it's a code phrase that means it's not fun to do.

If you are on a mac you will not have the option at all.
Have a look here https://help.ea.com/en/article/when...32-bit-version/

The OS X version was 64bit from the start, so for mac users this issue does not exist.

I play the sims on a windows computer but I also have my account with the game on a mac, maybe I can't set it to 32 because they are both linked?

You may need to contact EA for this one. I only know that you should have the option to switch between 64 to 32 bit, and you do not. If it is because you purchased it on a mac and then later added it to a PC is beyond my scope to offer advice.
I can't locate any information online about this particular issue either.

go to Origin,
go to My Games,
Hover mouse over the sims 4 game picture,
in the box that pops up you will see a grey square with the letter i in it.....click on the letter i, (Image 1)
A new box opens here you will see your games, click on the word edit next to the launch options, (Image 2)
another box will open
click on the drop down arrow under where it says When Launching this game (Image 3)

..... Then choose which version..... 64 bit or 32 bit (

I have pasted some pictures for you

There is a separate origin install for a mac so I wonder if that is the issue

Maybe try reinstalling the origin client. That is all I can think of ATM

As @Lodakai has said try uninstalling Origin again and seeing if that works. After uninstalling Origin restart your pc and then install the Origin Client again, you wont lose your games and you wont have to reinstall games either.

Once you reinstall Origin see it the option is there. If its not I would go to Origin for help.... They are pretty good at helping with this sort of thing.

Let us know how you get on.

I would recommend posting the question here.
http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/bd-p/The-Sims-4

The only difference i see in the screenshots is that one is limited edition. But at this point it's all just guesswork for me.

Hi, SimsObsessed, I may be tooo cautious, but just in case: Never post a picture displaying your code product.

Good luck for your issue !
