I think you can extract the face from the character file, the way you'd do if you wanted to make a face template based on a sim. It's not possible to extract face expressions (but you can shift around vertices to make one).
You can export the hair, clothes and any accessories separately.
One problem is that all of these meshes do need a lot of textures, so either you'd have to remap so they fit on fewer textures, or you'll just need to have a lot of textures.
(face, head, body/clothes, hair, and accessories if you need those too - that's a minimum of 4 textures).
