My husband built me a new computer a month ago, and I have The Sims 1 working on Windows 11 just fine!

You do need to know what you're doing to get The Sims 1 to work with modern operating systems, but once you know the trick, it's actually extremely simple! I've written a tutorial to help, here: https://www.reddit.com/r/sims1/comm..._on_windows_10/.

I don't know about The Sims 2, since I only play 1 and 3, but there's a Sims 2 section of ModTheSims; I'm sure they'd know all about it there.

I've made some mods for The Sims 1 -- yes, The Sims ONE :-) -- which you can find at http://corylea.com/Sims1ModsByCorylea.html
