To make furniture, you use the Transmogrifier to clone a piece of furniture that's the closest to what you want to make. Do NOT mess with objects.far!

I've made a post advising people how to get started making objects here: https://www.reddit.com/r/sims1/comm...sims_1_objects/.

If you want your object to LOOK a lot different than a Maxis object but to FUNCTION exactly the same, then you want tutorials on object MAKING rather than object HACKING. The best object-making tutorials I've found are on a site that's no longer up, but the Wayback Machine comes to the rescue; they still have all the tutorials safely stored, here: https://web.archive.org/web/2004120...sost/bwsost.htm.

Have fun!

Edited to add: Or did you mean that you wanted to add mods that other people had made, not to make mods yourself? If that's what you're trying to do, read the handy guide at Parsimonious, here: http://www.parsimonious.org/support...-your-game.html.

I've made some mods for The Sims 1 -- yes, The Sims ONE :-) -- which you can find at http://corylea.com/Sims1ModsByCorylea.html
