Plumtree Manor Victorian

Plumtree Manor is yet another Victorian house of mine. The original plan was to build a more humble and simple home - but in the end the result was anything but.

This house is build specifically for one of my favourite Sim families (father an avid gardener and cook, mother an illustrous author). There is plenty of room for a growing family. The house is decorated with tones of green and plum. It has four floors, four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Garden is rich and verdant.

1st floor: Entrance, kitchen, formal dining, living room, bathroom
2nd floor: 3 bedrooms, bathroom
3rd floor: Study, guest room, bathroom
Basement with indoor entrance (empty at the moment)

Garage with space for one car (another fits in the driveway).

Word of Warning: This lot - like all my lots - is filled with custom content. I have used mostly store furniture because the base game furniture is rather boring and it's difficult (impossible?) to create an authentic Victorian look with it.

Non-store stuff is mainly decorative and the lot should function fine without it (although looking bland). However I recommend to download at least the beautiful Victorian patterns made by Robokitty - it's these patterns that give the house it's slighly worn-out look. Another custom pattern that is needed for the house to appear as in pictures is a brick pattern by Quatla. Both are available here at MTS (links below).

Install Instructions

Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
2. Select the .sims3pack file you got from extracting.
3. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
5. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Select the house icon, find the lot in the list, and tick the box next to it. Then press the Install button below the list.
6. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the lot to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
7. Run the game, and find your lot in Edit Town, in the premade lots bin.

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.
