Strangetown Naming Mod

This mod provides your Sims 2 game with a list of townie names similar to those of the residents of Strangetown.

I used The Complete Book of Baby Names by Lesley Bolton to compile the names (and believe me, there were quite a lot of them) and Thesaurus.com to provide alternate surnames for the file. Most of the surnames are related to the already existing Sims of Strangetown (Shadow as to Specter, Limbo as to Loste). There are 787 male names, 781 female names, and 130 surnames. The male and female lists share surnames. Please see attached photos for examples of names generated by this mod.

If have never had a naming mod in your game before, unzip the Live.package and place it in your downloads folder. Do not rename it; you can only have one Live.package in your game at a time, but you can replace it after generating townies in a new neighborhood. To do so, simply remove the Live.package file you installed from the Sims 2 Downloads folder and install a new Live.package file you have downloaded. This naming mod will only work in Strangetown if you install or reinstall the game with this package in your downloads folder before running the Sims 2.
