Can you send me your No-CD exe via private message?
As my launcher doesn't replace any files in your TSBin logically it shouldn't cause issues if you try to run it from your old exe again, that is really weird.
By the way, you're patching Sims2EP9RPC.exe, right? Not Sims2RPC.exe

I've been playing with this awesome mod as well, but for some reason after using it a few days I'm also getting pink flashes sometimes. It's not really something that ruins my gameplay since it happens just sometimes. I've also applied the 4GB patch and my graphics card is recognized by the game (NVIDIA 960). I'm using a lot of mods, perhaps that could be the issue?

It's really weird that it seems not to accept the fixes to pink flashing. I guess a bandaid solution for now could be using DXVK?

Great work LazyDuchess :D

But I use a 4K resolution and the game now looks really pixelated. Any way I can fix that? If not, any plans to accomodate 2160p displays?

First world problems, I know. :p

Have you tried changing the DPI scaling setting to Application in Sims2EP9RPC.exe under properties?

Thanks, I tried that and it locked the game display to 4K. I've made a thread about this before, it results in stunning graphics but tiny unreadable text you have to squint to read.

I'll stick with the pixelated look, unless someone eventually comes up with a way to double the size of the HUD and text elements

This RPC is perfect!
May I suggest "household" as one of the customizations for text to display in the status?
You already included the sims we are playing as (as {SIM}), but I'd rather just display the family name
so maybe something that displays like "{____} Household"

I'm glad you're liking my tools! As for the household name, I tried, I really tried, but I couldn't find a way to reliably retrieve it. Maybe in the future, I'll have to take a deeper dive into it when I get the time.

I'm sorry, it was in real time about 10 minutes ingame. I think, i'm gonna give another try, without "randomizer.asi" than i'm reporting back.

Edit:
I took out what you said, played about 30 minutes and the game don't crashed, this time. If anything may changing in the future, i will tell you here. And, thank you for this program

I have changed the place the launcher gets the executable from in the latest update among other small changes, can you try temporarily renaming Sims2EP9.exe to something else and deleting Sims2EP9RPC.exe and trying the new update? If it's still a problem then dxvk might be necessary, but i don't really understand how it could be when it wasn't before?

Hey uh, I don't want to disrupt this problem-solving, but before I download and test out the file, I would like to know if you ever plan to do a crossover with GreatCheesecakePersona's Loading Screen Randomizer. It's a great mod and uses another launcher to start the game, hence why I'm curious about it.

You can point their launcher to mine instead of your SIms 2 exe and they will both work fine

My antivirus keeps telling me it's a virus and removing it from my computer. why is that?

Probably has to do with the fact that it hooks into other executables, SIms 2 in this case, to fix firstborn syndrome.

I had to move my game exe to CSBin to get the 4GB patch to work on it, will this be able to install and work with the exe there?

hi, when i launch Sims2RPC.exe I'm greeted with this error and cannot open my game at all. also, reshade.asi will not load.

I hate to get my hopes up...but if this is a launcher...does that mean if I get it, I won't have to deal with Origin?

Hi. Would it be possible to put it an option to change easily between sims 2 games/directories, before starting?. So we can play different copies of The Sims 2 folder, with different hoods and downloads

Thank you for the report! This should be fixed in the latest update (1.5.3) next time you launch Sims2RPC. If it still doesn't work then:
Either uncheck "Launch this program as administrator" in properties for SIms2EP9RPC.exe or launch Sims2RPC.exe as administrator. That error means your game is set to launch as admin but you're not launching the launcher as one.
