Sim thumbs look oddly stiff and stuck out during animations that are otherwise perfect--is there a chance future updates will fix the thumb placement to look more natural? Still downloading because this mod is amazing!!

Yeah the thumbs are the side-effect of converting animations from s4 to s2. The only way I know so far to fix them is editing raw numbers frame by frame in SimPE. I've done it for some parts of this project, but not all. There is a chance I'd update the other animations, but I don't make a promise. It's very tedious and confusing to do it in raw view. I'd do it in a heartbeat, if the converting tools get improved, or we find a way to automate the process

I'm having a problem after removing this mod. Now comfort and hygiene of all of the sims in the household are not decaying. I've had the addon_LaundryMotiveDecayBonus installed and changed value of hygiene and comfort modifier to 24. Hygiene is decaying while doing sports, but otherwise its just stays full. I've tried playing for 24 and 70 sim hours with the mod (with deleted washing mashine, dyer and hamper on the lot) and after removing the mod, needs still won't decay. I tried forceing errors with batbox and moving sims out. I hope there is a solution other than killing them all and moving on

Your sims got stuck hygiene and comfort modifiers. They aren't supposed to stop decay completely, but I guess your sims have other motive benefits that add up and make for a very slow decay.
I'm attaching an edited version of LaundryPausingClothingStack with a special interaction, buy it in Plumbing-Misc. and click with each sim with the problem. (I've adjusted the value to 24 for you.)

Thank you Lamare for this awesome mod I'm slowly getting back into sims 2 and sims 3 gameplay. A bit jarring after leaving sims 4 behind and missing a thing or two there but not enough to go back! So thank you so so sooo much for this, I enjoy dong chores gameplay wise (i know i'm a weirdo haha) I was just wondering would you be doing a bust the dust mod as well with converting the vacuum and vacuuming animation in the future?

Is this mod converted from Sims 3 or 4? Because I noticed mods coming from other Sims games, ruins Sims 2. Please explain what this mod changes in the game and does it make everything in defalut?

Many people enjoy chores in the Sims, you're definitely not alone there I don't have plans for a bust the dust mod or anything like that at the moment.

This mod adds laundry in form of new objects and behavior associated with them. We took meshes, animations and sounds mostly from the Sims 4, but all the logic is original, written by me to fit the Sims 2 style as well as I see it (and how I like it). Didn't get what you mean by 'default'. Feel free to read the description to learn how it works in game.

I just tested the mod and I loved it, everything worked perfectly. Wonderful work!
I’d like to suggest a new animation for after the Sim takes the clothes off the clothesline: they would walk with the folded clothes in their hands (just like when they go grocery shopping) and put them in the closet. That would be the perfect finishing touch for this mod.
