I wanted white face cake and face powder for some of my gothic sims, so I decided to make some. It wasn't as straightforward as I thought it would be, so I uploaded it here for others to see and modify if they wanted to make normal foundation makeup, or as an alternative to using Face Makup for wrinkles, aging spots, scars, etc. that would layer UNDER the other makeup.

Features:
  • Appears under "blush"
  • Can be selected in addition to other normal blushes
  • Layers under all makeup items except "lipstick", which is the deepest layer possible. This is why the lips were left un-coated.
  • Does NOT count as "full face makeup" attraction/un-attraction in Nightlife

The model has a medium skin tone that I use for many of my Latin or Native American sims. Most of the powders and cakes tend to look better on lighter-skinned sims, but I thought the medium tone was better for illustration.

The powders fade out before the hair line. This was done to prevent a harsh line where the face mesh and scalp mesh meet. It is less apparent on lighter skin tones or with the lighter powders, giving the option of pulled-back hair styles on those sims. For other sims it can always be covered with hair meshes that extend past the scalp line. I experimented with fading the powder down onto the neck, but it looked hideous at the back of the neck.

In order for applied lipstick to show clearly, none of the face powders cover the lips. As a result, they look pretty bad without lipstick.

The powders are shaded to prevent loss of facial detail.

The screen shots pictured show the model with no face powder and each thickness of powder, both with and without normal makeup.

Other pictured makeup:
  • Blush is from Sussi's So Good Sims
  • Eyeshadow is from Simder Z
  • Eyeliner was not labeled, so I have no idea.
  • Lipstick was labeled as from sims2goth.com, but when I looked they didn't appear to be online anymore. If anyone knows where this lipstick resides now let me know and I will link to it.
  • Full face makeup "tatoo" is Zell's facial tatoo from here.

Many thanks to Dr. Pixel for his explanation of how to put accessories into their own selection groups, and to evotiquien for telling me where to find it.

Notes:
These blushes are technically in the same layer as the lipstick. In bodyshop they appear under the lipstick, and in-game over. If anyone figures out how to make them appear under the lipstick at all times, please tell me so I can change these files.
