Down Syndrome Children

For many years, I worked with developmentally disabled people. I found it rewarding and satisfying. The discussion here motivated me to create these sims. Some of you probably have people with Down Syndrome in your families, and this is a way to include them in your game. I know it won’t be to everyone’s taste, that’s understandable. Please note that these children may look like they have Down Syndrome, but they will behave like any other sim. They will keep their features as they grow up too.

I have Pets and the patch installed. This should mean that these sims will work in all games whether or not Pets is installed. Use Clean Installer: If that doesn’t work, then please let me know.

**There are major differences in the pictures and the sims I uploaded. Sasha and Kelly are very different, but Bobbie is pretty close. It's unfortunate and the biggest reason why I rarely upload sims anymore, but it can't be helped. You will have to download the elements seperately and then put them together in bodyshop or your CAS screen. I am sorry for the hassle.

1. I used hybrid eyes from Rensim in the pics found here: It’s a great, almost completely free site, but they have a very restrictive sharing policy: so I couldn’t include them.

2. Since I’m not sure what Melodie9’s policy is on sharing meshes, I put them in Maxis clothing. You can find the clothing I used in the pics here:

3. The hair on Sasha and Kelly in the pics is by Ren/SimCribbing. You can find it here: or

4. The hair on Bobbie is by Seomi, found here:

5. The eyebrows in the pics are default replacements by Helaene found here: or the non-default version here: **

Content included in all 3 sims, thanks to a clear and generous sharing policy by the following creators:

Realism Skintone 1 (pale) by @stefan, found here:
I like this skintone set very much, especially the pale.

Freckles by Helaene, here is her website:
All kinds of great FREE downloads. I use her creations all the time.

0906 Eyes by Rock Chick, found here:
This is another great FREE site. Lots of great eyes, clothes, hair… her sims are fantastic too.

Sasha, the toddler
She is so adorable in game. She’ll melt your heart.
Get her hair 13, Type 3 by Ren here: you also need female hair meshes 09F and 09
The hair is available here too:
Sasha’s clothes are here: page 2, reply # 36

Kelly, the young girl

Get her hair 13, Type 3 by Ren here: you need female hair meshes 09F and 09 too
The hair is available here too:
Find her clothes here: reply #3 for the mesh, and the textures here:

Bobbie, the teen
I think his features are the most accurate.
I uploaded him with maxis hair, the hair in the pic is Hair 006 by Seomi here:
Find his clothes here: page 5, reply #102

Feel free to modify these however you like and upload them anywhere. Please respect the individual custom content creators wishes though and don’t interpret my policy as theirs.
