So, My Idea with this lot was not only to up the standards a bit, but to improve screenshot styles and have captions and stuff. Also, after figuring out that not alot of people read the whole page of all the stuff I write, I am going to try and make it shorter. So, without further ado, I give you Coastal Contempory.

Description

Keeping it short, like I promised.

Coastal Contempory is a 4 Bedroom, 4 Bathroom coastal retreat. It is for the rich sim that loves the tropics, and the ocean. It is also my first attempt at a Minimalist Home. If anyone has any tips about Minimalist Homes, just leave a comment.

Bottom Level is home to the majority of the bedrooms and bathrooms. Each bedroom is decorated for either a different gender or age group, so there should be something for everyone. There is a purple bedroom for the teen female sim, a white and black skulls bedroom for the teen male sim and an elephant patterned room for a child sim. There is also a sunken family room, a rumpus area and a 2 car garage on this level.

Going up the stairs leads you to the main living area, which is also home to the master bedroom. The master bedroom is the biggest room of the house, and has a huge closet, an entrance area and an ensuite. It also has a private verandah that has an easel, a telescope and a great view of the surrounding ocean.

Back inside the house, there is a large kitchen/dining area with a stylish feature wall covered in musical notes. The kitchen is covered in slate counters and slate tiles that adorn the walls and floors of the area. These tiles are from a user called Plum, and this was the project that I requested them for. You might recognise them, they are the floor tile Discrete Concrete from The Sims 2.

The living area and study area and in the same part of the house, and blend excellently with eachother.

Deep red and metal are all over the living space of this house and add to the contempory feel of it.

Outside, you will find a path made of the same slate and if you follow it, you will find yourself in the most tropical part of the build: The Garden.

Bright colours and tall palm trees are the key in a tropical garden and this garden is full of them. Eventually, after making your way through the beautiful garden, you will find yourself in front of the pool. This pool is also surrounded by the slate and its walls are lined with it. Keep following the path to reach your final destination. The Entertaining area. This area is perfect for parties, get-togethers or even family reunions. It is solid, and is made to blend with the rest of the house. The best part is the inbuilt BBQ area with solid benches that match the ones found in the kitchen. There is also a BBQ built into the bench(yes it works), Even a kitchen sink and fridge are out there.

The whole yard is lit, landscaped and ready to go. You will also find two parking spaces outside the front. These are guest parking spaces so that your drive doesn't get clogged up.
