A Small "Modern" Kingdom (No CC and Fewer EPs) Part 1 of 5

This is a small collection of Medieval/Castle lots for those Simmers who could not download the Gwrych Project or Simmers who prefer the medieval feel of castles without Custom Content and using minimal EPs.

INCLUDED IN THIS "SMALL KINGDOM" SET:

* ROW HOUSES (2 Versions)
* PEASANT HOVELS (2 Types, 5 Versions)

Important Notes:
* This collection is being presented in 5 small parts due to the various EP combinations used to create each set of lots.
* No User Created Custom Content was used to create these lots. However, there is a small list of "suggested" items noted at the end of this thread.
* No Stuff Packs were used to create this collection.
* These lots have a medieval feel in modern times.
* These lots are fully furnished (with the exception of Part 5: A Small Kingdom Starter House Collection).
* These lots were created using Any Game Starter by Numenor found HERE.

* EPs USED FOR PART 1 of 5: University, Night Life, Bon Voyage and Apartment Life

If you would like to setup "A Small Kingdom" as a complete neighborhood, you will need University, Night Life, Open For Business, Apartment Life and Bon Voyage.

SPECIAL NOTE TO THOSE DOWNLOADING THE "REGULAR" GWRYCH COLLECTION
I am also releasing the GWRYCH MEDIEVAL MARCH (27 Lots) AFTER I upload the 5 Parts to this "A SMALL KINGDOM" set. The Gwrych Collection will include alternative and LOADED versions of several of the lots included in this set, but decorated with Medieval Decor. So...all you Gwrych fans, feel free to download these lots as well as there will be differences between the 2 sets. However, keep in mind that the bases for these lots were used to create many of the in the Gwrych Medieval March lots. The LOADED versions will have all the usual Medieval Custom Content and use ALL EPs and Stuff Packs. Look for the Gwrych March Set soon.




This castle was based on Chepstow Castle in Wales found HERE. It is not meant to be an EXACT replica, but to capture the essence of that castle.

Lot Description:
This castle has a BIG feel for it's actual size and is perfect for your noble Sims. There are 4 bedrooms (2 for nobility and 2 for servants). The King/Queen Suite includes an office, a parlour, a bedroom, a private balcony and a bathroom. The 2nd nobility suite has a private bathroom outside the bedroom and an activity nook in the suite. There are 3 additional 1/2 baths (toilet and sinks only) and 2 private showers (in the servant quarters). The lot also includes a Piano Parlour, a Main Lounge, a Kitchen, a Royal Throne Counsel Room, a Library, a Great Hall Dining Room, a Private Nobility Buffet Room (upstairs), several winding castle corridors, an extensive Inner Courtyard with a closed private Courtyard for Nobility, a closed-in Outer Courtyard (for barbecues and Ax-Throwing) and a fishing area (if you have Seasons).

Lot Description:
The Castle Hotel has the same basic layout and lot description as the above Residential Castle. The only differences are in the placement of doors to seperate the spaces and the Hotel version has a restaurant kitchen.

Outside of blocking off the bedrooms and adding a few more modern conveniences (like televisions and radios) to this particular lot, the remainder of the March Castle is common hotel space and all Sims have access to food and other activities.

Lot Description:
This lot includes a common area (with various activities like piano playing, a card table, darts, chess and a barbecue area. There are also 2 cozy apartments. The first apartment has 2 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom and sleeps 3 Sims. The kitchen and living room are a common area space. The second apartment has a separate kitchen and living room with 1 bedroom and a full bathroom.

TIPS FOR RENTING A FURNISHED APARTMENT
1. Choose/Create a Sim or Sim family to enter the apartment lot. Enter the apartment lot.
2. Turn Cheat On
CTRL-SHIFT-C (boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true)
3. Stand sim DIRECTLY in front of the desired apartment door, facing the door.
4. Clear ALL actions from your sim's activity queue.
5. SHIFT-click on the door
6. Click "Rent Furnished"

There are 3 hovels all under 20,000 Simoleons. Hovel 1 is the cheapest and simplest in decor and Hovel 3 is the most expensive of the 3 with more elaborate decor. Hovel 1 has 2 single beds, a kitchen, a dining space and a bathroom. Hovel 2 has 2 single beds, a kitchen, a dining space and a bathroom. Hovel 3 has 1 double bed, kitchen and a parlour area. The is a barbecue area located outside of Hovel 3.

Lot Description:
This lot includes a common area (with various activities like piano playing, a card table, darts, chess and a barbecue area. There are also 3 cozy apartments. The first apartment belongs to the reeve and has a double bed and full living suite. The other 2 apartments are identical and sleeps 2 in single beds. The common area has a sitting area, a computer and outdoor activities to include barbecue tables, chess and darts.

The HOVEL APARTMENTS are identical in layout to the HOVEL HOTEL with the exception of hotel doors and a check-in podium and 2 computer cubicles near the upstairs hotel suite.


SUGGESTED SMALL KINGDOM DOWNLOADS:

*FIREPLACE
I didn't include fireplaces in several of the lots (including the castle) because I feel it would conflict with the exterior "look". However, I do believe the Chimneyless fireplace by Mia found HERE will add a bit of "warmth" to your "Small Kingdom" lots.

*SEASONS BUYABLE WISHING WELL (IF YOU HAVE SEASONS)
I DID NOT use Seasons to create these lots, so I didn't include the Wishing Well. However, if you have Seasons, adding the wishing well to the lots will give them a bit more of a medieval feel. The extracted Seasons Buyable Wishing Well can be found HERE.

*SIGNS FOR BUILDINGS
I think the Doctor's Office can benefit from a few Business Signs (especially a Sim Visa sign behind the reception desk). SaraF created a few signs you may find useful that can be found HERE and HERE.
