Its been a long while since my last and only post. Been held back by conscription. (and petty crimes get more attention, heh.)

Here's something i made 2 years back, before soldiering. I thought it'd be nice to share it.

Inspired by the lack of space, never-ending expansion in human populations, and where small urban lots are considered a luxury, I present Urbane 1. '1' because its in a line of experimental housing models.

Features:
1 X Car Porche

1 X Kitchen / Dining area

2 X Bathrooms/Toilets

1 X Study Area

2 X Bedrooms

1 X Roof Garden

The Kitchen/Dining Area:

One of the Bedrooms:

The Roof Garden:

Ideally intended for couples, additional bedroom is for guests, or when children are intended. Personally I like the front facade, a touch of modern/contemporary style, as well as being able to house the car.

I believe such houses are common in Japan. Small, urban and contemporary. The urban problem challenges us to think of more creative ways, a play with spaces, to formulate comfortable conditions within small and possibly claustrophobic areas.

In any case, enjoy this small urban lot that i've designed. Some evaluations that i've noted are (not to worry, these aren't game concerns, just self-notes):

*the 2 bedrooms are connected, and even through the toilet on the 2nd floor. the presence of too many doors interconnecting the spaces could result in a breach of private spaces. perhaps a contestible didactic between circulation and privacy.

*The ground area has no closed or true doors that guard the entry to the house. The intent was to open up the ground area, since the car porche has taken up quite a bit of space. However this makes visiting sims press an imaginary doorbell.

*Roof garden, a tribute to one of Le Corb's 5 guidelines to house-building.

Lol, I can't help but think that its a luxury despite a small lot size. In any case enjoy. :D
