Helgasim's legend lives on....

**Please make sure you download the HelgaMESH_61 WinRAR folder in the downloads tab; unzip and install it to your downloads folder. My recolours will only show up in your game if you have installed this mesh file as well.**


Today I bring you a lovely retextured/recoloured set of this pretty, simple feminine hairstyle from Helgasims. This one has to be my favourite of all the free Helgasims meshes I've discovered to date. I know this hair has been recoloured before but it is such a pretty mesh and I use it so much in my game, I decided to take up the challenge of recolouring yet another Helgasims mesh. Quite a challenge it was indeed! Although it appears to be a rather simple hairstyle, retexturing the hair proved to be anything but.

It took numerous attempts and hours of frustration with each colour to place my textures and blend them just right to get the hairstyle working without showing glitches that were in the original mesh file. This hair is better suited for darker colours due to this but I did my best with the lighter colours in my NuRey set. Because of this, some of the colours look rather unique with their shadows/highlighting and I have achieved the best result I could with my textures. I am not, however, complaining - far from it! This hairstyle tested both my skill and patience as a texture creator and artist. I'm happy I took on this hair with some very stunning results.

Naturals:

Black - Licorice, Olive, Cola, Treacle

Brown - Chocolate, Caramel, Cinnamon, Mocha

Blonde - Honey, Lemon, Vanilla, Coffee

Red - Berry, Apricot, Peach, Plum


Thanks so much to CatOfEvilGenius for creating the new hair binning tool i have used to bin all of these recolours. All the recolours in this set are colour binned/familied for your female sims from teen to adult with greys for your elders binned/familied and linked to the blondes. Sorry, this hair was made only for teen and up, so no children/preschooler hairs.

PLEASE NOTE: These recolours have again been decustomized. You will find them (without the little star on the thumbnails) in your maxis base game colour areas, not at the beginning of your colour bins with all of your usual custom binned colours.

All recolours are base-game compatible, no EPs required.
