The Flavel House Museum - This museum in Astoria, Oregon is rich with the history of the city, but also known today for its appearance in the 1985 film, The Goonies, as well as reports of ghostly activity attributed to its former occupants. The house was built between the years of 1884 and 1885 for the family of Captain George Conrad Flavel - the city's first self-made millionaire. Flavel had arrived in Astoria around the year 1849 and had immediately seen the business potential of the growing city. He started out by using his maritime navigational skills to set-up a business as a bar pilot that would guide ships through the shifting sandbar at the mouth of the Columbia River, part of the so-called Graveyard of the Pacific for the massive amount of shipwrecks seen there.

In the flavel house, the toilet is very distinct. The toilet was made of a wood box with a lid you'd lift and sit.. I tried to reflect that in this home. Also, the tub was of a metal finish. I did not copy the Flavel house exactly as I did add some touches of my own (Bathroom, Piano Room, Kitchen).
