If you're tired of swimming around in that same old blue wave pool, you should try this out. There are no new graphics here, just using some original Maxis tiles in ways they didn't expect.
Simple install - but do read this carefully.
1) In your normal file explorer, navigate to
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2\TSData\Res\Catalog\Scripts
(If you installed your game in a non-standard location then adjust that path accordingly.)
2) Copy the files deckfoundations.txt and walls.txt from that directory to a safe backup location in case you want to remove this mod.
3) Copy the attached deckfoundations.txt and walls.txt into that same directory, overwriting the originals.
4) Start your game and build your new pools! In the pool menu you will see four new options in addition to the original pool (which this mod does not affect in any way).
These have been beta tested for a while now and everyone seems to think they are working fine, so I've moved them into the mainstream downloads. Enjoy! Serious thanks to Supertramp who posted the info I used to create this.
(Given that some people are still experiencing the *have no walls/have wrought iron fence walls glitch I have moved this back to Beta for now. I would like to see some explanation why this should happen to some users and not others - Loverat)
