African Wild Dog
with two different fur patterns
Quote:
The African wild dog (Lycaon pictus), or African painted dog, is a canid native to Sub-Saharan Africa. It is the largest of its family in Africa,[2] and the only member of the genus Lycaon, which is distinguished from Canis by its fewer toes and dentition, which is highly specialised for a hypercarnivorous diet.[3] It is classed as endangered by the IUCN, as it has disappeared from much of its original range. The current population has been estimated at roughly 39 subpopulations containing 6,600 adults, only 1,400 of which are fully grown. The decline of these populations is ongoing, due to habitat fragmentation, human persecution, and disease outbreaks. - wikipedia.org |
You can get further information on the african wild dog here.
The fur was a "pain-in-the-ass" to create since the pattern looks so random, it was really hard to figure out which colour I should use as base. In the end, both dogs use a different base colour. The markings on the african wild dogs are like our fingerprints, each one is very unique. You can go into the professional fur creating in create a pet and move the spots around to make your own unique fur pattern on the wild dogs. The puppies I got with the two of my dogs on the pictures do look all the same thou xD. You may want to look up some pictures of wild dogs on the internet to get ideas for new patterns. There are really amazing once.
Attributes:

Install Instructions
Quick Guide:
1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the sim to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
2. Select the .sim file you got from extracting.
3. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\SavedSims folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game, enter Create-a-Sim, and save a sim to the sim bin to create this folder, rather than doing so manually. After that you can close the game and put the .sim file in SavedSims
4. Once the .sim file is in SavedSims, you can load the game, and look for your sim in the premade sims bin in Create-a-Sim.
Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.
