Working on Storybook set again.

Date Posted: 11th Mar 2013 at 3:11 AM

I found just the right bed mesh for it (build-a-bed by mustluvcats), so I am hard at work recoloring them. I don't know what part I'll do next though. The beds are going to be coming with bedding that I made quite a while ago.

I don't know if anybody cares, but I felt like talking about it. If you read this, comments would be nice so I don't feel like I am talking to myself.

I am also desperately searching for someone who can do add-on windows and doors for the set.

Storybook Discussion

Date Posted: 5th Oct 2012 at 1:55 AM

I'm very happy that I found a partner in crime to make the set, however, Sims99Fanatic has many projects to work on and is taking a break from it, unsure when she'll get back to it (if ever).
However, I have still been hard at work on it, doing as much as I can with my recolor abilities. I have 47 walls and floors for the set, but they aren't up yet because I have to force myself to take the darn pictures of it. No telling when that'll happen.

I really want to keep making stuff for it, but I'm out of ideas at the moment, so I'm asking for help with that. Suggest away!

Note: I may move this discussion to a thread if the need arises.

Storybook

I got bored of the Witch set for a while, so I'm working on fixing up the storybook set from ofb. It's going quite nicely. The first thing I did was make a better blue, because the blue sucks. Then I started filling all the holes in walls and flooring, and I'm just finishing up making a green build set. After that, I still have a handful of wallpapers to make, including some completely new tiles for the wall. Some wood walls and flooring would be nice too. Oh, and I'm making a lighter purple too so it will match. I considered making an orange, but I don't think I actually will.
Some other time, I'll tackle a furniture set, which would be better if I knew how to mesh a little bit. (If someone would be willing to do some light meshing, that'd be awesome.)

A checklist.

I need to organize the stuff for my good witch set, so I shall do so here. I don't want to foget anything, so if I do, please tell me. + means I've done it, and - means I haven't yet.

Kitchen
+Counters
+Dishwasher
+Oven
+Trash Compactor
+Microwave
-Fridge
-Blender/Food Processor
-Sink
-Coffee Maker
-Various Decorative Objects

Dining Room
(This one is a toughie, because the list is so short, I feel like I'm forgetting something)
+Chairs
+Table

Living Room
+Sofa
+Loveseat
+Living Chair
-Coffee Table
-End Table
-TV?
-Bookcase
-Desk&Desk Chair

Bathroom
+/-Counters (I may want different ones than for the kitchen)
-Toilet
-Shower
-Bathtub
-Shower/Tub
-Mirror
-Sink
+Hottub Spa
-Towels
-Bath Mats
-More Decor

Bedroom
+Double Bed (I have 2, actually)
-Single Bed
+Bedding
+Armoire
I seriously think I'm missing a bunch here, but I can't think of what.

Plus, I'm recoloring the default witch objects to match my set. I thought they were too gray anyways.

I also need a marble wall to match the floor I've made, and some other walls and flooring would be good too. Curtains would probably be good too, along other things. Plus I have made some fencing.

My next project.

I'm still not done with this one, but I decided that when I'm done, I'll make some furniture to go along with the Storybook set from OfB. I love that build set. It's so cute and comes in cute colors. It's a shame that it's only a build set. A furniture expansion to it is another thing I really wanted, but couldn't find at this site. I'd love a 'partner in crime' for it if anybody's interested. Working with someone else would be totally fun and more effective than doing it on my own. Having a partner is far from a requirement for my starting it, but it would be nice.
It's funny. I don't even know who on earth I'm rambling to, so if you read this, maybe leave a comment. Either on this one or the last. Because it's just weird doing this. But I thought it would be mildly amusing to record my Sims 2 related thoughts.

I am now even more concerned if there are some sort of technical problems regarding my 2nd upload, as it has now been nearly 2 weeks. I'd like to get in contact with someone about it, but I don't have a clue how.

On the subject of my current project, the one I mentioned in my other journal entry, I uploaded pictures of a few more things. Honestly, I'm feeling a tad dejected that nobody's commented on it. It makes me worry in the back of my mind that they're so bad that nobody wants to tell me how awful my recolors are.
So, yeah.

DoDo signing off.

I always wanted a furniture set for good witches, so I am making one.

I learned how to recolor objects a few days ago, and special thanks to Ohbehave for helping me out and showing me the ropes.

I have the project so far here- http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=481831 and I'm asking for suggestions and stuff. The beds were the first recolors I made, and I don't think they're too shabby. And since I can't mesh yet, I had to be very creative with the bed on the right, and used snapobjectstogrid to assemble it. I still need to make sure it works though.

Also, I have a dress for good/white witches in the moderation que(I have no clue how to spell that), so keep an eye out for it. It's been there for like, a week though, so I can't help but be concerned...
