Victorian contests are more eviler!!

Date Posted: 5th Apr 2008 at 10:52 AM

Someone kick me already.
There's so many fabulous things I want to make for this new contests, and here I am, updating journals and doing everything *but* creating.

A small voice in the back of my head is jumping up and down and going: "Work! Work! You know you want that icon!"
But I really can't be bothered. Plus, said voice and it's exclamation marks are kinda annoying.

If people have tips on getting over 'meh' moods, I would appreciate them.

Free Time update

Date Posted: 23rd Mar 2008 at 1:18 PM

Hey all,

small heads up: I updated the Spyglass (telescope) I made for the Dark Project. The animations were borked in Free Time, but all should be well now.
That is, I think, the only one of my objects that needs updates. If you have more, please let me know.

Contests are ebil

Date Posted: 7th Dec 2007 at 10:08 PM

As some people may have noticed, I haven't been meshing much lately, mostly because my job's been asking a bit much of me.
This is all fine, I have stories to keep updated, games to play, a social life to salvage.

But then those dang moderators at mts2 invented Contests.
And contests are EBIL.

I'm one of those obsessive collector people. I gotta catch 'em all.
So I must have all the cool little badges for every contest. And now i'm forced (FORCED!!) to make stuff.
Damn you, Whitey, damn you!! *shakes fist*

This means that if anyone has great ideas for farm related objects, please inspire me , it'll be the closest you'll ever get to prodding me to do requests.

In slightly related news: I got nominated!
They're all great (I voted Echo, because she rocks my socks).
Go vote for something. You know you want to.

Newest Group Project is up

Date Posted: 21st May 2007 at 10:47 PM

Go get it, you know you want to.

Meanwhile, i'll be spending two weeks on a chocolate jenever I.V., doing anything but modding. :p
Oh, and hugs and kisses to the wonderful people that made the project happen. :lovestruc

It lives!!

Date Posted: 18th May 2007 at 3:31 PM

Checking my profile, it seems I haven't uploaded any new things since december.
Just in case some people thought I had stopped modding altogether: I haven't!

I have, in fact, been working on something first dubbed: Next Secret Project number 5. Catchy title, I know. It's a working title, whaddaya expect.

This project started quite small but is rapidly becoming one of the biggest group effort this site has known.
And it's got some absolutely amazing people on it. The kind I have fangirl issues with.

AND it's coming to an mts near you this weekend! (I hope)

Just so you know, you might want to make some room in your download folder. Quite a bit of room, in fact.

What's the world coming to, and all that.

Date Posted: 7th Feb 2007 at 9:50 AM

I'm noticing a disturbing trend, lately, with people *asking* me if they can either use my uploads in pictures, or if they should link me, credit me, or whatever.
These people are very nice and polite, so they're obviously not what's bothering me.
The disturbing thing is, that they seem to think they have to ask. This probably means that some creators do get mad if their content is *gasp* used by the people that download it.

Let's all get off our little clouds here, and wonder why the hell we're making content and sharing it in the first place. I personally want people to use my uploads. I get a kick out of seeing a movie or pretty picture and go 'ooh, I made that'.
There's also this nifty thing about the internet, that it's interactive. It's common on the interweb for people who see something they like, to ask where they can get it. And someone will usually answer them (this someone is, half the time, FalseZen ). I tend to add links, just so I don't have keep repeating where all the wonderfull content can be found.

So just for the record.
YES you may use my stuff in your game.
You may set my dressers on fire, woohoo on my elven beds, jump on my couches, dance to my grammophone and take pictures of all of these activities.
YES you can post these pics all over the place to show off the pretty sims you made and the cool things you did.
NO you don't need my permission, credit, links, contracts signed in blood, to do any of these.

thank you

Contests

Date Posted: 11th Nov 2006 at 10:07 AM

It seems like every time I enter a contest, I end up making stuff for it.
So it's probably a good thing I don't enter too many contests
Makes me wonder, though, how non-creators do it.
For instance, if I feel my simmy needs pink horns as a finishing touch, or that a furnished room would be perfect with some rose petals on the floor, I just make them. But I'm pretty sure not everyone can do that.
So how do all you contest addicts do it? Is your downloads folder the size of a large chinese city? Do you go on downloading sprees before every contest?

Meanwhile, here's 'Queenie', as I've nicknamed her.

Sneak preview

Date Posted: 26th Sep 2006 at 11:25 AM

Here's a sneak preview of my latest (small) buildy set.

The mesh is causing me seven kinds of hell to line it up properly, and the texture needs work but I'm really starting to like it.
So don't worry, delays have a reason

The stairs are up!

Date Posted: 27th Aug 2006 at 6:50 PM

Woot!
That object took me forever, but it works and is recolorable and everything and I'm so proud! :lovestruc

The rest of the Treehouse Build Set should trickle onto the site in the coming weeks. Two of the fences and some really cool buildy things have been meshed, but I'm working out bugs and general nuisances. This can take a while: my new job doesn't leave me much in the way of working brain cells by the time I come home

Either way, one step closer to the ultimate elven treehouse!

Holiday

Date Posted: 10th Aug 2006 at 9:50 PM

The last few days have been... hectic. But luckily, I'm leaving on holiday tomorrow and will do my very best to do absolutely nothing for a whole week!
So no pm'ing me with silly questions, you hear?
