I am assuming the roof is made from stage not CFE since there isn’t another floor plan picture.

Everything screams cheese here. Love the plants hanging from the ceiling ‘slats.
Some kind of bar deco like bottles on the wall would have been nice.
Makes me want a grill cheese toastie just looking at it! I love the roof. Cheaper fence around the ’plate’ would have allowed the bar and or outside to be decorated more. The landscaping is decent but feels a bit tossed down compared to the care given to the inside.
The kitchen might get a bit congested with only 1 tile between counters

Fun lot looking like a cheese sandwich. The outer wall at the back is a bit boring, more windows and an exit door would make a difference. The roof looks great.
The floorplan is logical and functional. I would add a second bathroom, restaurants can get busy during lunchtime.
The interior: Good choice of grilled cheese colour scheme, walls and floors work well except in the bathroom, and kitchen, where the orange is a bit overpowering. Ceilings a very nice touch. Good choice of furniture, and placement of objects are mostly excellent (I problem with playability excluded). Kitchen looks good.
The exterior is neat, a tiny bit too much green.
There need to be a space between the chairs at the tables next to the back wall for playability. There need to be more space in the kitchen. An extra exit is also a good idea, in case of an emergency (e.g. a fire or sims stomping during a group outing).

Oh! I love kitchy figural builds! And, your use of “orange” is tastefully done... for the most part. I cringed a bit in the bathroom and kitchen. Did the ceiling really need to be like that? Both orange, and tiled?
I'm also concerned that there is only 1 unisex bathroom. I know space is tight, but I think you could've worked it so there are 2 separate bathrooms. And will 2 toilets really be enough for your sims comfort needs?

Highly imaginative and well executed. You used the size of the lot extremely well. Great choice of theme and custom content. (Entertaining back story too, but no points for that).
The various little buildings, the interesting interior (everything cleverly placed, from the fish in the kitchen to the rugs on the floors), the variety of items (also cleverly placed) outside, the fire, the lights, somehow all forms a completely coherent unit, and that takes some skill on every level.
Exceptional work, the custom content did not do the work here, you did.

A decent floor plan and roof. I love the staircase. The kitchen is huge, and I can’t see a reason for it. Think about making overly large rooms smaller. Maybe one part could have been turned into a storage room.
Warm and cozy but it could do with some deco or contrasting wood tones.
The check in area is very bare, something behind on the wall there would have been nice. The kitchen feels very empty. A fire pit in the middle would have taken up that space.
I like the harp stage.
Loving your outdoor landscaping, this seems to be where your lots shine.
Varied, pops of colour and the space is well used. Cute stable area for the horses.

Well done, nice layout inside as well as outside. A beautiful entrance and an enchanted garden! Decorations inside are well placed and chosen.
The kitchen is lovely, but seems a bit empty, moving some of the tables towards the middle of the room should do the trick, but the kitchen can also be smaller.
The dining area above is lovely and the tables and chairs are placed perfectly. And a lovely staff room too.
Not a big fan of waiters having to carry food upstairs, but sims don’t seem to mind.

I think you could have done more with the ground and garden areas – it's not natural to be perfectly flat. The red flower area could be 'mounded' a bit. Know what I mean? Just to give it some interest.

Did you swap the kitchen door later as it appears to be a regular door in picture 8 and the swing door in 17 and 18.
I also don’t see a picture showing the budget.
Good use of a steep lot. The shapes are simple but effective to make this an interesting build.
I like the ceiling beams and the contrast between the walls and the floors. It could have done with a little more deco, like some hanging plants from the beams.
Love the stonework bar.
Very southwestern. Love the outside stairs and all the beams. Good landscaping with the rocks and plants.
Only thing I don’t care for is the painted on parking spots. I can’t imagine painting directly onto soil. Maybe some similar coloured concrete could have been laid first.
The kitchen could easily get clogged at the doorway with waiters trying to go in and out at the same time.

This is a very nice lot and I think the space on the lot have been used well. The seating outside looks inviting and bathrooms are situated about right for both the bar and the diners.
The outside looks very attractive. The interior is a bit bland here and there but it still looks nice. The beams look good too. The kitchen can give stomping problems.
The lanterns are a nice touch.

This is a nice looking establishment – very fitting for a desert town. I think when they open the back deck for evening diners, they will do a great business! Beautiful!

Does your “back” kitchen door work? It looks like the terrain/ground has a dip in front of the door, so sims won't use it; and, I don't see a fire alarm...
The wall placement (room layout) seams forced in places. I would give the bar area less space, and the kitchen more space.

Cute build, with an interesting floorplan and a surprise basement.
Love the skylight.
Some of the rooms are too large for the amount of furnishings.
I can see you were going for an upscale feel. I like the panelling and fancy floor tile edging in the dining area, but the spaces have a very empty feel due to the size of the rooms. One way to help with this would be to bring all the tables away from the wall. The foyer could have done with some comfy seating rather than hard wood chairs and some plants.
This is a nice little restaurant, but the lot is very bare. Either make the building larger or add more landscaping. A parking area is an easy way to fill in some space and terrain paint, water and terrain shaping is all free if done on an unowned lot.
Sims will do some foot stomping over that fixed staircase down to the basement. Fixed ones can only take 1 sim at a time .

This is quite a pretty lot, considering the (very good, except for the bathroom) selection of wall and floor coverings, the layout, the clever foundation and basement too.
It seems a bit empty on the upper floor.
Moving the tables away from the wall and place them more towards the centre of the room will make a big difference. The reception area is also empty and needs either to be filled up a bit or it should be smaller. The kitchen is neat and looks good.
There is too much green grass around. Breaking it up with ground cover, making a parking, some footpaths, etc. will break that up nicely when the budget is gone. (I like the basement, but it may have been wiser to spend that money above ground for a lunch break restaurant.).
The lot is clearly fun to play, and the effort is still a very good one.There may be some stomping at the foot of those stairs.

I love the 'speakeasy'! I'm wondering why you didn't use the matching bar for those counters?
I'd also like to see the dining room tables pulled away from the walls – maybe placed inside the floor's border. Is there a mirror in the bathroom? It's hard to powder-your-nose without a mirror.
Your routing all looks fine. Another bathroom would help. And while I don't think any of your sims will stomp their feet... in real life, there are little things that could be improved – like the dining table placement, maybe adding a few paintings? Or table-clothes? ...just little things.
After the contest – are you going to expand the speak-easy and add a pool table?

Your building has really improved and the pictures too.
An interesting build with a nice floor plan.
I like that you attempted to add more interest with the small upper room but the roof on it looks a bit awkward. It would look better if the small roof merged into the main roof.
The colours are good and the kitchen is filled out nicely.
I would suggest some cc wall menus and an area for condiments/napkins etc. You could have added some to the tables. These places always have sauce bottles.
For the size of the space a couple more tables would have been good.
You got the fast-food diner feel. The only thing it could have had was a drive through. Good use of space and terrain paint. The only thing I would suggest is having the play tower around the back so not to block the view of the front. Is the ladder for ongoing maintenance?

Good improvement from you. Roof is much better. The floorplan works well, and the placement of objects inside is good. The outside is attractive, the entrance looks quite charming. Everything looks playable as well.
A less fancy wall and a plain floor may look nicer with the white tables, but it is alright. The kitchen and bathrooms looking good. Good placement of objects too, but it looks a bit empty in the eating area.
I think a bit of grass or pine needles will look nice under the play tower (just a bit of colour). Perhaps also move the tower a bit away from the entrance. The parking looks good as well. It looks good at the entrance too. I would have built the lot more towards the middle, which would have made the landscaping easier.
Playability looks good enough.

This build looks a little fancier than a fast-food chain, but I bet they serve great burgers! I love the kid's play area. You have a lot of room in here – your sims will love it. What is the purpose of the ladder outside? And why is there a vent/shaft in the corner by the bar?
If you had positioned the building on the lot more to the left, you would have had room for 1 more parking space, and the awkward “alley” on the left side would be gone.
Watch the direction of your floors – the ceiling is a bit wonky.
That wainscotted wallpaper with the fancy crown moulding doesn't really fit in a fast-food theme. The floor and furniture works really well here though!
I think the bathrooms could be re-worked to add another stall and another sink. As the sinks are situated now, you may get some stompy sims - if they have to queue up to get to the sink.

A beautiful lot.
The foundations are very nice, the floorplan is great, the outside is neat, the colour scheme inside is pretty and all the rooms inside are well decorated. The wallpaper is cute and the restaurant looks like a fun place to visit for a grilled cheese lunch.
The door next to the chef’s stove in the kitchen often causes problems (waiters hang around there, blocking sims from entering and exiting).

This lot is much improved. You added interest in the design and the windows go nicely with the build. The rooms are large but not without reason, good job.
I was expecting to see something a bit more upscale inside from the outside look. The very cheap tables, chairs and paint were a bit of a disappointment when you had all that money to spare. I don’t see any kind of décor at all.
The outside is inviting with some thought given to landscaping with plants and terrain paint.

The building is neat enough, but the roof is on the too big (try breaking it up a bit) side and hangs over the entrance a bit too much. The floorplan is a bit boring, and the bathrooms too far away from the eating area; it will make more sense to put them between the eating and dancing areas. The bookcase seems out of place.
The kitchen and bathrooms are neat enough, the eating area is a bit on the boring side. This is not a bean counter contest, use the budget! The tables look very cheap and the contractor who decided to put a carpet there should be fired, because a carpet cleaner is going to have to come in every day.
With the DJ booth taking up so much space that the lot tends to look more like a club than a lunch break restaurant.
The exterior is nice, take care of the tiny details as well? The fence is not the right choice imo, and is not the same on both sides, and one side looks as if it is a tile too long. I can’t see a reason for doing this intentionally. The trees in the back, on the other hand, looks very good.
Playable, yes, but it is a long way to walk to the toilets.

I think this building is just too big. I'm not sure the disco dance-hall area is needed in a lunch style restaurant? But I guess that is your 1 “fun” object, right?
Why do you have so many fluorescent lights in your dining area? There are 12 of them! And fluorescent lighting is so harsh. The dining area desperately needs some plants or pictures to help soften the atmosphere in there. I love the outdoor patio area.

Your build is very interesting and well laid out. I Immediately had fast food vibes with the ‘tower’ and drive through.
I had quite the surprise on seeing the inside as this gives off Italiano lunch vibes. Not to say you couldn’t have Italian fast food, but it feels a bit too fancy for that. I can’t imagine a place with a drive through having a bathroom like that. 😊
That said I do love the drive through window and the arches, just that it seems a little unsure of its identity.
I really like the colours and textures and all the plantings. I do love landscaping. The outside bar is a cute addition too

Very unique and realistic looking. Nice floor plan and window choice. I love the idea of a river boat restaurant.
This very much feels like the inside of a river boat. The only thing that lets it down is the mix of Expensive and budget items. The luxurious looking floors and ceiling make me expect an upscale dining experience, but the budget plumbing, counters and stools say something else. Looks like Amanda and Tyler ran out of money.
Good use of the land or in this case the water, with some pretty river side plantings. That plus the green awning on the boat make this feel cool and inviting.

Great building skill. The interior looks warm and welcoming, the river on the outside with the water plants and willow tree is a great use of the space and looking attractive as well. The interior is well designed and the colour scheme well chosen. The painting behind the podium looks striking.
The kitchen looks good with the floor and the ceiling. The bathrooms are brightened up by the curtains and the ceilings look good too. I assume the bathrooms are influenced by the tight budget, but they look neat enough (kitchen as well).Good use of the carpeting – not sure about the blue, but then, it probably works as well as any other colour will, depending on personal taste.

A decent shape and lay out although it could have been slightly smaller. The bar storage area would have looked better built in rather than free standing.
I like the colour contrasts between the woods and tiled floor. I particularly like the bar and kitchen decorations. Another table would have taken up some of that space in the dining room.
A pleasant lot with some decent landscaping.
The outside eating area is nice, but feels like a slightly lost opportunity. It’s just begging for a bit more to look onto or maybe a little path that would take the customer around the garden.

A very interesting build. Diagonals can be challenging but that works well.
It very much feels like a lunchtime diner. I very much like the counter area with the window behind and the beams with the lights hanging down.
I can see this being on a slip road off a major road. The outside seats would still be a pleasant place to sit with its green space and plants; and the driveway is a good way to use up the space.

Sorry to hear about your game crashing.
The build has some interest but feels a bit disproportional with the dining area slightly overlarge.
I like the bar area and recycled items, it has a very casual atmosphere. What I don’t like are all the different floor coverings. There should be more tables for the size. It feels a little bit empty.
I like the shipping container concept and car park but where are the plants? Not even some cheap flowers in that little area out the front. No plants make me a sad judge.

The floorplan is logical and functional. I would add a second bathroom, restaurants can get busy during lunchtime.
The interior: Good choice of grilled cheese colour scheme, walls and floors work well except in the bathroom, and kitchen, where the orange is a bit overpowering. Ceilings a very nice touch. Good choice of furniture, and placement of objects are mostly excellent (I problem with playability excluded). Kitchen looks good.
The exterior is neat, a tiny bit too much green.
There need to be a space between the chairs at the tables next to the back wall for playability. There need to be more space in the kitchen. An extra exit is also a good idea, in case of an emergency (e.g. a fire or sims stomping during a group outing).

Oh! I love kitchy figural builds! And, your use of “orange” is tastefully done... for the most part. I cringed a bit in the bathroom and kitchen. Did the ceiling really need to be like that? Both orange, and tiled?
I'm also concerned that there is only 1 unisex bathroom. I know space is tight, but I think you could've worked it so there are 2 separate bathrooms. And will 2 toilets really be enough for your sims comfort needs?

A decent floor plan and roof. I love the staircase. The kitchen is huge, and I can’t see a reason for it. Think about making overly large rooms smaller. Maybe one part could have been turned into a storage room.
Warm and cozy but it could do with some deco or contrasting wood tones.
The check in area is very bare, something behind on the wall there would have been nice. The kitchen feels very empty. A fire pit in the middle would have taken up that space.

Good use of a steep lot. The shapes are simple but effective to make this an interesting build.
I like the ceiling beams and the contrast between the walls and the floors. It could have done with a little more deco, like some hanging plants from the beams.

Some of the rooms are too large for the amount of furnishings.
I can see you were going for an upscale feel. I like the panelling and fancy floor tile edging in the dining area, but the spaces have a very empty feel due to the size of the rooms. One way to help with this would be to bring all the tables away from the wall. The foyer could have done with some comfy seating rather than hard wood chairs and some plants.
This is a nice little restaurant, but the lot is very bare. Either make the building larger or add more landscaping. A parking area is an easy way to fill in some space and terrain paint, water and terrain shaping is all free if done on an unowned lot.
Sims will do some foot stomping over that fixed staircase down to the basement. Fixed ones can only take 1 sim at a time .

This is quite a pretty lot, considering the (very good, except for the bathroom) selection of wall and floor coverings, the layout, the clever foundation and basement too.
It seems a bit empty on the upper floor.
Moving the tables away from the wall and place them more towards the centre of the room will make a big difference. The reception area is also empty and needs either to be filled up a bit or it should be smaller. The kitchen is neat and looks good.
There is too much green grass around. Breaking it up with ground cover, making a parking, some footpaths, etc. will break that up nicely when the budget is gone. (I like the basement, but it may have been wiser to spend that money above ground for a lunch break restaurant.).
The lot is clearly fun to play, and the effort is still a very good one.There may be some stomping at the foot of those stairs.

An interesting build with a nice floor plan.
I like that you attempted to add more interest with the small upper room but the roof on it looks a bit awkward. It would look better if the small roof merged into the main roof.
The colours are good and the kitchen is filled out nicely.
I would suggest some cc wall menus and an area for condiments/napkins etc. You could have added some to the tables. These places always have sauce bottles.
For the size of the space a couple more tables would have been good.
You got the fast-food diner feel. The only thing it could have had was a drive through. Good use of space and terrain paint. The only thing I would suggest is having the play tower around the back so not to block the view of the front. Is the ladder for ongoing maintenance?

If you had positioned the building on the lot more to the left, you would have had room for 1 more parking space, and the awkward “alley” on the left side would be gone.
Watch the direction of your floors – the ceiling is a bit wonky.
That wainscotted wallpaper with the fancy crown moulding doesn't really fit in a fast-food theme. The floor and furniture works really well here though!
I think the bathrooms could be re-worked to add another stall and another sink. As the sinks are situated now, you may get some stompy sims - if they have to queue up to get to the sink.

Your build is very interesting and well laid out. I Immediately had fast food vibes with the ‘tower’ and drive through.
I had quite the surprise on seeing the inside as this gives off Italiano lunch vibes. Not to say you couldn’t have Italian fast food, but it feels a bit too fancy for that. I can’t imagine a place with a drive through having a bathroom like that. 😊
That said I do love the drive through window and the arches, just that it seems a little unsure of its identity.

This very much feels like the inside of a river boat. The only thing that lets it down is the mix of Expensive and budget items. The luxurious looking floors and ceiling make me expect an upscale dining experience, but the budget plumbing, counters and stools say something else. Looks like Amanda and Tyler ran out of money.
Good use of the land or in this case the water, with some pretty river side plantings. That plus the green awning on the boat make this feel cool and inviting.

A cute little build with a decent floor plan.

A pretty little lot, with a clever design and an attractive and logical exterior. It certainly looks as if one can grab lunch any time of the day.
I like the orange walls and the roof is nice. Good choice of furniture and nicely spaced.
Clever use of the space outside; neat road and parking. It needs a bit more, a hibiscus tree or three or some shrubs will make a huge difference.
I assume that phone is the invisible podium? (Please if you use an invisible item, state that in your entry, I almost missed it! Fortunately, I remembered seeing that mod somewhere and googled it to make sure).
It looks completely playable to me.

Oh my... that is too much orange! But, it kinda matches the feelings I have for fast food places too.
I mean, you know, let's get all the nastiness done with at once.I do like your roof though – you made a great roof.
The high ceiling is nice too. The layout looks about right for fast food... I like the outdoor eating area. A playground spring-rider might be nice to add out there, for the little tykes.
Is that tiny little room an office? It's TINY! ...but probably pretty accurate.
Your customers are going to need more toilets. That small 4T room in the kitchen would make a good employee bathroom.
You don't have any landscaping on the lot. A tree or two would help.
The Fire Marshall couldn't find an alarm near the stove.

Sorry to hear about your game crashing.
The build has some interest but feels a bit disproportional with the dining area slightly overlarge.
I like the bar area and recycled items, it has a very casual atmosphere. What I don’t like are all the different floor coverings. There should be more tables for the size. It feels a little bit empty.
I like the shipping container concept and car park but where are the plants? Not even some cheap flowers in that little area out the front. No plants make me a sad judge.

Building itself is neat enough.
The Interior is pretty, objects placed well, different chairs and tables make it look quite interesting, and some well-chosen decorations too. Looks a bit empty here and there. Perhaps having a different floor leading from the entrance past the bar would break that up nicely, move the table at the stairs a bit away from the corner, etc.
Kitchen and bathrooms neat enough.
The exterior seems a bit rushed. A good effort when your game gives you problems!

Nice use of the parking lot – it allowed you to keep your build small, as shipping containers are. I like your concept!
I know you were having difficulty with your game – but I would like to see more plants around the outside. Thank you for showing that the podium and pool table work as they should.
I really think your customers are going to need more than 2 bathrooms.
