Default Renaming custom novels and craftable objects?
I'm making my custom neighborhood and I want to use custom novels, written by sims, and craftable objects as a way to add little pieces of lore. But, is there any way to rename them and change the object's descriptions AFTER they were created and given their names and descriptions? I do want to translate my hood in different languages so I wonder, if I can rename these things, or do I have to create them separately for each version with different language?

I added object renaming to the latest Charles Object Editor.

All... -> Rename Object

The title has a length limit. To input a long title, select Three Words, and then write from the end of the title, for example, to input The Quick Brown Fox Jumps Over, you would write in 3 successive dialogs "Jumps Over", "Brown Fox", "The Quick".

You can also copy novels or whatnot using the copy function via inventory.

Thanks for this mod, I will try it out!

But is it possible to change the description of crafted object with it?

The description can be changed. It works the same as naming a novel where you can put a fair bit of text (several lines) into the description. If you place the object into someone's inventory, you can read the given description. I don't think the description shows up anywhere else. The name shows in multiple contexts.

If you sell a crafted object in a shop, the named object is put into the buyer's inventory with the customization. But the restocked item is normal again. Non-craftable items get restocked "in place" and retain the customized name. If you move your customized object in usual ways, the name always sticks in my experience.

If the crafted item has a "Made at Lot" footnote, that one stays. A copy of the craftable object can be made to strip the footnote.
