Default How do doors work?
Hi everyone,

I've been trying to make a new indoor-door. I used the Door 1 wide (of the low room height doors) to clone from.

The mesh is ready, I have it cut in parts just like the original. I get the model in-game and all, but there are two problems:
1. it needs a very big part of the wall completely free of things, otherwise its impossible to place it. I don't understand why, because its the same shape and size as the original, so I reckon it should behave the same way.
2. it doesn't open and close. The Sims walk though it, but the door doesn't move. I tried to follow tips from the internet, about how to assign bones to certain parts of the meshes, but all it did was messing up my texture for the glass part and replaced it with the shadows texture for the door frame.

Anyone with a golden tip on what I might be missing? Do I have to assign bones at all?

Thanks a lot!

Edit: ok, I got parts of the door moving, but it looks crap and I feel like Blender is ignoring my assignments to the bones.
I'll give up, this is just too cryptic and already takes way way too long.
