Theres only one square on the mask. So I'm betting it's that one.

As far as I know, I don't think the mask you're using will work the way you want it to - you need to make your three recolour areas red, yellow and magenta. Black is for non-recolourable areas. There's a tutorial on RGB masks in the Sims 3 CAS Tutorials section (http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php...ic_Mask_Editing ) - you might find some useful info there!

Here's the new mask:

Maybe I shall see how it looks like in game
But the cow head is currently a "Earring", but would it be better to use glasses, bracelet or left/right ring?

That map looks like it SHOULD work - the only way to find out, though, is to try it in game!

Yes, you can categorise it as earrings or glasses if you want to, but I wouldn't make it a ring or bracelet if you're planning on uploading it, because it means people won't be able to give him a bracelet or ring if they want to (it's fine if you make it as glasses or earrings, because nobody would be able to see those when he's wearing the head anyway!). You can also categorise it as a Hat Hair, which is what I did with my llama head.

I'm going to set is a glasses, but I has to fix something at the model. I guess I assigned the head to wrong bone, but I'm sure I assigned it to the bone named "head"

Seeing yellow and magenta in the final mask image is purely due to the red/green and red/blue channels overlapping.

Just assign the head to 'Head_New', that should work. Having said that, you did import a TS3 head into Milkshape along with the cow head, to use as a guide to make sure the cow head sits in the right place on a TS3 head, didn't you? TS3 heads are a different shape and size from TS2 heads, so you need to reposition TS2 hats and hairs to sit at the right place.

Here what it looks like in game:
It is attached to head_new. It looked exactly like when it was attached to head. (All ages and genders)

And here how it looks like in TSRW:

What am I doing wrong?

Here is some info from TSRW:
Basic Data:
Title: Cow Head
Age: YA, Adult, Elder
Gender: M and F

Type: Accessory
Clothing Type: Glasses
Category: All (Naked - Everyday - Formalwear - Sleepwear - Swimwear - Athletic - Singed - Career - CategoryMask - ValidForMaternity

But I have to ask something else. In Texture tab what is the "Part Mask"

Oh, that's pretty weird. The first thing that comes to mind for me is that maybe it happened because you used TSR Workshop - I recently tried TSRW to make a hair, and in-game the hair came out way up in the air above the sim's head although it was positioned perfectly in Milkshape and the joints were assigned correctly. I use CAS Texture Unitool to make my head accessories, with no problems - it would be worth you trying that instead of TSRW.

The Part Mask is something you can just ignore. I don't know what it does, if anything - I've never done anything with it!

How do you make simgeom meshes? milkshape3D does not have that filetype
And it would be much easier if there only was one 3D filetype

Yes, Milkshape does have .simgeom as a file type - you have to install some plugins to enable that. Links to where to get them are in HP's hair tutorial here, under the paragraph 'Milkshape Plugins' near the beginning: http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php...s_3_Hair_Basics

To avoid problems always start by cloning a similar mesh/outfit or accesoire.
I would personally clone a earring for this.
Recategorizing stuff can cause problems when you want your creation to be recolored.
The head position issue could be the skeleton used
The Partmask controls wich parts are textured, the alpha should be completly white in your case.

Victory:
Picture of the woman is low qualoty because I minimized the game and it looks like the texture quality was set to low when I maximized the game again.
Finally :D
I cloned earrings for this :D
Thank you, everyone for the help :D
  • Next is to fix so the spots is not so dark. As you may see on the picture it's black, but the color than is selected in TS3 is white. I guess I only need to make it's part brighter in in the "Multiplier" DDS?
  • Make the mask edges better so it will not be visible in-game

I can't do any 3D edition now. My Milkshape 3D trail run out And I bet I won't get the full version this month or next month after that

I'm sorry to hear your Milkshape trial ran out - that cow's head looks pretty good. I hope someone might be able to help you finish it - I've been keeping an eye out for this creation and still back you 100%. Hope you get it done one way or another - thanks for your hard work so far! Great stuff !

I don't think I need more 3D on this one.
And thank you. I'm glad to hear that

Change log:
Improved Mask a little (Better edges)
Improved Overlay (Better edges)
Improved Multiplier (Lighter)

Someone who thinks this is ready for release? I currently out of ideas of what I can improve. I must give it a custom CAS icon since we can't see it. (256x256 is a good choice right?)

I would say it's ready for release, but that's only cos I wanna try it out in my game, lol. It looks really good from my side, and the colouring has been fixed etc... I can't think of anything else you can do with it, but since I'm not a mesher I may not see something others would. I can try it out for you if you'd like before general release - if not, just go for it; it looks great

I will "probe" the Moo Moo Mask a little in-game before I decide if it will be released.

EDIT: I will release this as soon I find the "New Thread" button.

EDIT: I found out how to make a new thread. But I found something that must be improved before release:

Do I need to say what I need to improve?
I do it anyway:
  1. Make the overlay edges better
  2. Make the the Cow Mask a little darker?
