I was thinking about Andrew's kilt, I could do a version without the red tights too, but I think I'd need a different kilt mesh to be able to do boots (as the Maxis one I used has clear shoe shape). Most Scotsmen wear kilts in all weathers without tights/leggings, but I added them in case Andrew was cold (and also because I liked the spash of red against the greens/ blues of the tartan colours).

Thanks Charity, I do already have those, and use them in other neighbourhoods! I really wanted a complete outfit though for Andrew's outerwear. (I know I could mod the game or fiddle with the debug cheats, but I'd rather just stick to complete outfits for now).

@simsample : Having spent a couple of days packing their clothes, I've just sent the Moltke family to you by PM. I'll now have to deal with Real Life matters before my Hunger Bar goes into the red, but I'll post pictures explaining which outfit they're wearing in each category ASAP (probably tomorrow). I love seeing pictures of my Sims in unfamiliar situations (and unfamiliar clothes). Julian does still look a little bit cold, but I'm sure Andrew's embrace will soon warm him up!

Thank you @AndrewGloria ! I could add a T-shirt or something to Julian's outfit? Thanks for the Moltkes, will put them in-game tomorrow (have to fill my energy bar!).

I love the outfits and the use of appropriate tartans! You've put so much effort into picking outfits that will really make these sims happy. Julian's outfit looks very suitable for him and I dig the colour combination of pink skirt, pink scarf and soft rainbow armwarmers with his socks picking up one hue from the rainbow. From my experience with family members who have aversions to certain fabric textures, I wonder if Julian would be happier to wear a top if he could find a really soft fabric - maybe something fluffy as a cloud or so silky it feels like air.

@Charity, I've just been playing a sim who likes to wear one of your kilts. Nemo is a real character and one of my favourites; he's a tough guy, extremely fit and keen on sports, and so grouchy that, like his mother, he gets into a lot of fights. He walks around shirtless and barefoot because his metabolism keeps him warm (and his muscles are good for intimidating opponents). Here he is advising his flatmate's young son on what to do if anyone gives him any bother in school!

@simsample : I've just realised that I didn't include Manuela's formal dress. It's the Micro Mini from this alpha skirt set by Marvine. I've had it in my game since forever, and it's always been her formal dress. She wore it to Julian's wedding.

I'm still working my way through writing a post with pictures of all the Moltkes' current outfits to help you to dress them. So far I've done all Martin's and I'm working through Manuela's. In some cases I'm having to ask them to pose for photos. If I don't finish it today, I'll finish it tomorrow (DV). I'm getting hungry again!!!

Thanks @AndrewGloria I've had that dress in my game forever too! I haven't had chance to do anything at all today regarding Sims- real life gets in the way! Mañana!

Okay, the only thing I can think of DV standing for is Domestic Violence and I'm sure that AndrewGloria isn't into that!

DV = Deo volente Latin for "God willing". In other words, unless something, (like my final appointment with the Grim Reaper) leaves me unable to fulfil my intention. The Arabic Inshallah, as mainly used by Muslims, is much the same.

I'm still working my way though all the pictures of the Moltkes' current outfits. I haven't even attempted to deal with all the other clothes they’re not currently wearing, that they keep in the wardrobe that the whole family shares. I think their wardrobe (like the one in Gloria's house) must be like the Tardis -- bigger on the inside than the outside. It probably also helps that so many of their outfits are barely there.

Default The Moltke Family's current clothes in all categories
This post contains captioned pictures of all the clothes, category by category, currently worn by the Moltke family. Writing it was really quite a big job. Many of the pictures had to taken specially. So apologies to you all, including the Moltkes, who must be wondering why I kept asking them to change their clothes. @simsample , I hope this helps you to dress them all in the clothes they're familiar with. I'm looking forward to seeing what outerwear you can get for them.

I'm sure there will be mistakes in this long post. Please tell me any you spot, and look out for changes I shall probably have to make.

Hans has no athletic wear. Athletic wear for children was introduced in a later EP.
If getting gym clothes for Hans, I think he might choose a pair of those metallic swimbriefs in another colour. I'll supply them i you want.

Phew!! Taking, collecting and posting all these pictures was a bigger job than I thought!!

Brigitte definitely needs a new hairstyle. I stared at that first picture for a while, trying to figure out if it was her or if Gloria had been over for a visit!

@AndrewGloria Thank you very much for the images, they are tremendously helpful!

I was missing Brigitte's undies but found them on Simphany.

I have a texture for Martin's shorts, however I don't seem to have a mesh for them (the one with the sexyfeet). Could you point me to it, please?

@simsample I think the mesh for Martin's shorts must be the one that came with this outfit, which I’ve had in my game since 2014, but I can't remember where I got it.
It's called "missimis_bottomADM09.package", but I can't find where I got it from. The mesh seems to be called "MESH_am-bottom-nude-sexyfeet_darkmoon689.package" and I've shared it for you o SimFileShare here.
I hope that's the right mesh. Even if it's not, I’m pretty sure it could be made to work with my texture.

Is there any way (perdurably an easy way) to see what mesh is being used by a CAS texture? The game is able to find the right mesh OK, so it must be possible.

Sorry about Brigitte's undies. I was getting that Simphany.com outfit mixed up with this very similar bikini by Jope on simplystyling.de, which is also in my game:
Jope's one is only categorised as swimwear so of course it didn't show up for you in underwear. I'm sure though you'll find some girl in Channelwood Verona, who'll be happy to wear it to the pool or to the beach.

P.S. Brigitte has now changed her hair to "punklips" as pinkdynamite suggested:
While she was at the stylist's, she also got this silver cross (Silberkreuz) earrings and necklace set by Dea. I'm sure she does have earrings under her hair, even if we can't see them! If you want to keep her the same in your game you might want to get the set. The picture was taken at Londoste, where she was treating Hans to a fancy meal out.

Thanks @AndrewGloria , I still can't get Martin's shorts to show up though. I have downloaded the new necklaces for Brigitte, and managed to find a mesh for Martin's necklace too.

Didn't you say that it had come as a full body outfit, but you converted it to separates. Then the new mesh will be whatever you named it when you created the package file.

'punkflip' lol! 'punklips' sounds like a weird lipstick.

@simsample : I don't understand why Martin's shorts aren't showing up for you. I made Sim of Martin wearing those shorts in Body Shop, and packaged it to a file. When inspecting the package, Clean Installer confirmed that that mesh by darkmoon689 that I sent you in post #89 is indeed the one that goes with my recolour:

The files you should have are:
5f97961f_DenTrnShortBlkAM.package for the texture
and
MESH_am-bottom-nude-sexyfeet_darkmoon689.package for the mesh.
If you've got them both in your game, and it still doesn't work, I really can't understand what's wrong.

@Charity : I made the shorts by cloning the missimi separate ones I mentioned and illustrated above, but replacing the texture images with ones from Knightskykyte's full body outfit. So my recolour uses the same mesh as the missimi original, which turns out to be the one by darkmoon689.

punklips? I must have misread pinkdyamite's post! I thought it might be Sandy Bruty's hair. I've never known people get these names for Maxis items from. I guess they must be hidden somewhere in the game files. Actually Sandy Bruty's hair wouldn't look too bad on Brigitte, but its colour is a bit too light. I'd have to make a darker blond recolour.

Big huge apologies @AndrewGloria I loaded the mesh you sent into the game this morning and tested it quickly before going out on errands. Then when I just rebooted the game, I realised I'd done the rookie mistake of not refreshing the thumbnails (so the shorts were there, in CAS, but masquerading as a completely different pair or trousers) I feel stupid
So sorry to put you to any anguish, or trouble!

P.S I prefer Punklips and that's what the hairstyle is called to me from now on.

I have an update on Jones family outerwear:

Following @AndrewGloria 's reminiscences that Gloria has Welsh heritage, and that Andrew's father was Scottish, I made some Welsh Jones tartan for him (teamed with the Scots Clan Jones scarf/ mitten set). He has this kilt without woolly leggings, for the warmer winter days. He seems to like it! And Julian has put a top on with his skirt, I copied the design that AndrewGloria found on a T-shirt earlier (and sent to me as a crop top for Julian). His top is a warm jersey knit, and I made him some fleecy mittens that don't clash as much as the tartan did. I still think all my mittens look like oven gloves, but I'm going with them anyway dammit because I'm crap at texturing!

I have Moltke pictures to post later too- the family are safely moved in to a new house in Channelwood Verona!

I didn't even know that non Scots had tartans.

I don't know if he likes it, since he doesn't like fabrics on his skin.

The Moltke's new house:
The Moltkes have moved into a house on Sim Lane (near to Sim Sample )

They need to buy some personal items- skilling things, artwork, hobbies etc., but for now they are getting used to the place and figuring out what they want to keep or change.

Do you have any images of the inside, @AndrewGloria ? I'd like to know what kind of decor they might buy so that I can make them feel more at home. I've already downloaded the trampolines so they'll be having one of those next time I visit them.

Also- a question about hair- Hans and Martin have retextures of Peggy and Newsea hairs, and I'd like the full set of those. The hair database doesn't seem to have them, so for now I just have the single texture that came with those sims as well as the original Peggy and Newsea textures. The filename begins with 'GE'- for example, 'GE-NSHairYU022m_Edited-Blond0'. Are those textures you made yourself, or downloaded from somewhere? If possible, could you point me to the full set?
