Have you never search something with Google and forget to type "Ts2" or "sims"

The results are quite funny out of the contex like: "What happen if your male employee is abduct by aliens?" or "How long you can stay in pool wthout ladders?"

Many of Zarathustra's builds are set-pieces anyway; you can't actually use the radio tower or hospital but it looks awesome.

I had a look at the hospital and it looks usable (if you have a powerful computer XD). Thanks for the link. The one time I tried a restaurant with apartments the NPCs were miserable because they were on duty 24/7 and they kept trying to use my sims' apartments.

I had a similar thread for stuff I'd seen people write on MTS (warning, images are on modyourpanties and can be slow to load):

Thanks @simsample and @topp for that vote of support and confidence! So I'll continue to try to demonstrate that men can be nice, and not only in The Sims. But when I fall short of that ideal, please don't hesitate to call me out. Andrew never hesitates! But I suppose that's what I want in a best friend -- someone who just tells it to me like it is -- without fear or favour.

I final thought for the day on the subject of niceness -- wouldn't be good if all the politicians in our world had ten Nice points? I might try that in a Sims 'hood and see how it works out!

While playing Rebel Galaxy, a space adventurer simulator, I once unthinkingly typed into Google "where to sell live organs." (Shush, they dropped as loot after I blew up an organ harvester. Best not to let them go to waste.)

I can't tell if it's funny or if it stresses me out how surprised my husband is about totally basic vanilla gameplay. He played Sims 1 and 2 briefly when he was younger, and he's played Sims 4 for PS4. I was talking to him about a community lot I built and he was absolutely amazed that my sims could VISIT it. Like it was maddening to him. He had no idea they could leave the lot. Then I mentioned that it'll be owned by a family. He asked if it was some kind of mod or something. He was equally surprised about apartments, bodyshop, recessive genes etc.

Wait, sims can't leave their houses in Sims 4?

Personally, I get frustrated playing past about the third storey. I find it too annoying the way that the camera "falls" off the ground if you move it too far back. I move the camera around a lot and don't like having it set in a static position.

So, aesthetically I like having some taller buildings, but I now try to design them so that only the first three floors are usable. Anything higher could be used occasionally, I suppose, but I wouldn't want to play like that all the time.

I have just made this a concrete decision for my hood, because to add to the stupid camera issues, I built this 5-storey apartment building and didn't add a lift. Some sims moved into the penthouse and I realised that it literally takes them a sim HOUR to walk up all the stairs

I use the sims as a psychology simulator...

Lol I remember realizing after I finally got an EP with elevators, realizing that they actually made skyscrapers usable for the first time, the same way as happened in the real world! You could always build higher before that, but it wasn't going to be practical until there was a fast and easy way to reach the highest levels - no one is excited about living in a twelfth-floor walk-up, after all!

Elevators work well if you send a person up manually. But they have no or not enough reluctance to take an elevator autonomously and try to go between the top and bottom floors all the time. I built an elevator in the Hans Trap Door Corporation to turn it into a hotel and an observatory. There is no room for stairs in this building. They use the elevator all the time. The elevator does not wait for a load of passengers. They often have to stand and wait for the next arrival, and often time out. All the Find-Best-Object actions like cleaning will happily go between floors.

I stand by these words despite someone voting with disagreement about them.

In the LeTourneau secret society building Le-whatsitsname I built both an elevator and a stairs in opposite corners. If you have a stairs and an elevator both available, they will prefer the elevator because it has much lower portal penalty. But a running person can go up stairs much faster. A walker takes a similar time between two floors if he has to wait for the elevator. He is probably slower to go between more floors, but I have not tried a skyscraper with stairs.

I'm working on a stair mod that makes vacant stairs slightly less repulsive.

All the men in my life are (and were) nice.

Most of my Sims are relatively nice too - but not all of them.

The "hard sell" and "dazzle" animations look so funny when you're trying to convince a Sim to buy something inconsequential like a sandwich.

One of my sims managed to dazzle an entire neighbourhood into buying toilet roll holders.
At one point every sim had at least one of these in their inventory!

An automatic seller should be smarter and not use Dazzle on low value customers or those who have already put the item into their bag. It costs energy. That mod is a bit complicated.

I once made a restaurant/nightclub with only an elevator, it had a truly terrible layout.

Ground floor was the restaurant, above this was the nightclub, and right at the top was the kitchen. Constant queues at the elevator, which of course can only carry one sim at a time. Waiters and patrons were frustrated. It took ages to get served any food. The best thing to do was to skip the restaurant and go drinking. I got rid of it in the end.

@simsfreq : The food would be cold by the time you got it too! Even with those special covers the waiters have to keep it warm.

I think I always try to provide stairs as well as a lift/elevator -- at the very least a fire escape. I fear though I may still have a Maxis shop with no stairs. In the UK it would be illegal, and I think my Sims are just as important as UK citizens.

I do think the hand-clapping animation is not quite right for nice sims, because the only actual live people I can think of who do it are also maxed outgoing and playful as well as nice. The men seem to mostly do single clap, while women will do two or three.

But I suppose the programmers could only do so much, and I live in a different part of the US, so that could also be regional cultural differences. Maybe Silicon Valley is more emotive than the high desert up here. For one, you're likely to accidentally give a command to a herd dog if you wave your hands too much! You wanted that flock moved, right?

Is there a practical benefit in the Chat interaction from being Nice? Does it accept disliked topics? From the look of it, the person seems agreeable to hear anything. I don't feel like going over the script because chat is very complex. Unless the nice was rolled like that at birth, giving it to a person would take away from other points that are important for survival.

If you put both stairs and an elevator, they will prefer the elevator unless they start movement close to the stairs. It's my experience too that the elevator doesn't wait for other passengers, like I said above. You can sometimes enter it as the doors are closing. I won't do anything to elevators because they are complicated.

A good way to exclude sims 4 from search results when you actually want to find sims 2 stuff is to include "-4" in the end.

Omnia - Fantasy / Mythological / Medieval Hood
Ephemera MoreColorful - SimpleSkin Recolors

My sim had a baby and I put the siblings' names into a generator thing to figure out what I should name the little girl and one of the suggestions I haven't used was my sister's name. I considered using my sister's name for this baby but ultimately was like ehhhh it's too weird. I don't think I would give my sister's name to a sim, but if I would, I feel like I'd want it to be a used intentionally for a special sim, not just the 5th daughter of this big family because I ran out of name ideas.

There is a sim with my brother's name, but he's a townie sim with a generated name, I didn't name him myself.
