Default Favorite mods: all EPs
I'm late to the game as usual, but I just picked up Ambitions and Late Night (already own WA). So, what are your favorite mods and what do they fix for you?
I have yet to re-install my CCs and it's been a long time since I played a naked game!

It is no doubt my favorite mod is the more tattoos mod. It fills the void that EA created.

Twallan's Story Progression and Awesome Mod tie for first place for me. I can't live without either one of them. For Story Progression, I love to keep informed of other sims while I'm playing and Awesome mod fixes EA's brokenness. Another one is the Drink From Everyone mod for Vamps, cause the way EA set up the criteria for vampire hunting just doesn't make sense.

Well, I actually play CC-less, but one of my favorite mods I used to have was All Fuits/Fish Buyable. I hated traveling just so I could catch one Dragon Fish. I never used it for opportuneties, of course.

Definitely Twallan's MasterController. it lets me control my whole town and change things. second place would be Twallan's DebugEnabler and StoryProgression. these fix all of EA's mess ups.

I'm cooler than cool! I'm stupid!

Agreeing with rcranger9, I can't play the game without those mods.

EDIT: I should add The Overwatch.

For me, the necessary mods are:
  • Twallan's Story Progression
  • " Master Controller
  • " Overwatch
  • " Woohooer
  • Awesomemod
  • Additional face and body sliders

These are just lovely little bonuses:
  • Pescado's nogreenhair.
  • (Can't remember the creator's name) an actual pregnancy bump attached to the sims and not just the outfits!

Rick's No-Intro mod!

And besides the Twallan stuff (IMO Master COntroller, Debug Enabler and Overwatch are all essential, after that you can pick and choose depending on what features you care about)...

Buzzler's Digsite Fixer and SameEnergyGainForEveryBed mods, "Daysoff" (cancels maternity leave), and the updated Magic Gardening Gnome (for most households with gardents).

That's not all I have, but those would be my current must-haves.

No Intro
Censor removal
Hysterical para whatsits better bodies are the only mods I've constantly and consistently used.

I've used Awesome mod off and on, and Twallan's story progression stuff, but I tend to pull those out as soon as something goes wonky which seems to happen quite a bit. I have very little CC, mainly just what I've got listed here and some make up items but my game breaks quite often anyway.

I might be a bit self centered but I like my own mods. On top of those I really like
- higher bills
- Buzzler's dig site fix
- Buzzler's food ordering mod
- Buzzler's ageing manager
- Buzzler's no car relationship.
- Rick's No intro (I think I might go insane without this mod because the intro is just too long)
- Twallan's job mods <3

AwesomeMod (including AwesomeStoryProgression)

twallan's MasterController, Overwatch, Relativity (can't play Bridgeport without it)

Buzzler's DigSiteFixer and RunningDiseaseHotFix (just in case it'll still be needed)

NoMosaic

A ghost reaction remover (I play with ghosts, so, highly necessary)

and cmar's and jonha's sliders.

AwesomeMod and MasterController aka SuperComputer have been in my game for ages, so I don't even know anymore how the game is without them. And I think the Blur Remover was the very first thing that I had to get after playing the base game for 5 minutes last summer.

Not self centred, it makes perfect sense: people make mods to change things they want changed therefore of course they will like using them.

These are all great places to start for me, thanks! I've never used Awesomemod or Storyprogression, but I am tempted to give them a go. I have: no intro and no mosaic. I think I need a good camera, though. I hate the way the camera sort of falls when I am building.
Sorry, it took me so long to respond. Every time I clicked on the thread it said the site was in maintenance.

For a lot of people a story progresssion mod which replaces EA's is top on their list. I definitely recommend one.

Absolutely Bella3lek4′s Facial Sliders, Jonha's body sliders and totally Twallan's MasterController

- Twallanian goodness.
- I go off and on awesomemod, but really it should be an essential. It fixes things more deeply than Twallan's stuff, but because I build worlds for NOMODSEVAPURISTS I can't afford to have it in my game most of the time in case it causes an incompatibility of some kind.
- HP's default eye replacements. NO MOAR BUSHBABIES!
- Buzzler's Scribbling Pad is new and will be with me forever.
- All of simsample's unlocked assets: The picnic spawner, the free-standing tents.

Not a mod, but one thing I put in every neighborhood. Do a search here for "harvest" and there is lot with perfect quality fruits and vegetables. I basically tear it apart and put it back together... in my current neighborhood it formed the basis for a nectary lot and a community garden lot. I like playing happy sims, and having good food makes them happy.

the No Blur mod. For some reason that stupid pixelated box when they shower or go to the bathroom really really irritates me lol

I thought Twallan's mods and Awesome Mod were incompatible due to the there can be only one rule, but several people here say they use both. So they can be used together?

There can be only one core mod. None of Twallan's mods are core mods.

The best combo is Awesome Mod with Twallan's Story Progression imo. The whole crib thing is annoying especially if you have an expanded world.
