I'm in the process of creating some barrels and was wondering if they would be anywhere close to upload quality. I will be creating different sizes, positions, textures etc., but wanted some feedback first:

It looks interesting. Is is possible to place it next to some Maxis objects, like tables, a bar, stools, etc. to see if it blends in well?

I do see that the mapping may need to be redone, since the wood doesn't move straight from top to bottom, as such:


You may be able to get away with that from that dark wood barrel on the right. With this one instead, you'll probably want the black lines not to intersect each other like on those yellow circles.

That looks really cool! The updated version looks so much better - I am no object creator, but maybe it would be nice to have it in a table or chair version as well? (Imagine a pirate cafe!)
