I'm still playing. AND I've been trying to convert some skins for Sims Medieval. But, since I suck at Photoshop, it hasn't been going well. Thanks for this!

You are welcome! I wish I could get the faces right, that's the real trouble with converting skins.

Are the marks on the faces of the females in the pictures above a part of the skin for this mod, samko? Or are the marks just make-up for your game? I don't care for the sims to have dirty faces or colored marks in my game as I find it unrealistic, and child-like, and prefer a cleaner environment, if possible. So I am trying to confirm that your skin is the body skin only? Thanks, Dear.

Hello Xeny!
This skin actually contains body and face textures too. But there is no problem, to release body version only, if you're interest.

Hi back to ya, samko! LOL Yes, I would be interested in just the body skin, but I am interested in the whole package as a skin, just as you have here in this mod, but without any added facial markings, like dirt or paint, or scars, etc. You see right now I am using Chickieteeta's female skin and on my female sims, the is a VERY noticeable line between the highest part of the neck and face. The coloring of the skin is different, so it kind of looks like a barbie doll, where the head of barbie showed it could be removed from barbies body. Its horrible!
That is why you made your skin full body and face, right? My male sims do not have this issue as I am using for them Grims Medieval nude mesh, and also female nude mesh, but the nipples on the females is very red and fake looking, so Chickieteeta's Forsaken skin changes the awful appearance of the nipples, and makes the body parts look real...except for the line on the neck. I do believe though that Tumyza's TSM male skin test package is what rounds out any imperfection's in the male mesh of Grim's mod, as it is said that his mod will not work without Tumyza's male skin test mod. BUT, Tumyza didn't make a FEmale test skin!

So YES, I believe I would LOVE to try your skin with face skin included, but absent of dirty markings, paint, make up, scars, etc. Is that possible? I appreciate your response, and your achievement in your creation of mods.

The "dirt, paint.." which you see are actually pores. I haven't added to this skin any dirt, pain, makeup or anything like that, at least I didn't mention to do that. In game the texture quality is not that high as in CAS is, so those pores won't appear that well. U can try it freely. About those nipples and stuff, I recommend you to download just one skin, which includes face and body also. It's not good to combine this two, because as you said, u can see the line on the neck then. Well, u can try this, u'll see if nipples are not fake looking and those pores too. Let me know! Anyway, I am able to do for you more faded pores for face, but it will looks like Vanilla face texture then probably.

I used a few of your skins here: http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=544651

I'll take them down if you don't think it's OK. Yours are the only female skins I could find anywhere.

Just want to let you guys know that I'm working on making skins. It will be a couple of months though, since I'm my painting skills are such that I have to do things slowly. That's not to say that what I've done is ugly, just that I'm slow.

I, personally, don't like my sims to have horrible, blemished skin. I like my sims to have skin that looks dewy and fresh, like what Ephemera and S-Club make. In fact, I'm using their skins as a guide for mine. Also, I'm thinking of making the female skins with shading on the lips, eyelids, and cheeks to look like makeup, since makeup in the game is lacking. What do you guys think? Is that something you'd like? Or would you rather the skins not have makeup?

Let me know, and I will provide, lol.

That's great idea! To make more variable skins for people! U've done great job. No needs to take them down.

Hmm, by freshy skin do you mean something like this? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/28946/?
I actually get it as a sweat and I think that's amazing idea. To make sims more hotter and more realistic. Go ahead! About that make up, do you mean some heavy or just pretty light make-up? Because something heavy'd ruin that in my opinion.

Hi Samko. Did you know your skin mod affects children sims? One of my monarch's children had his face plastered with pock marks and red splotches after he grew up from infancy. I took your skin mod out, and his face returned to normal. Here are a few screenshots of the child for your view:

You may have made a "BREAKTHROUGH" samko in the edification of sim children, as you might know, very little seems possible in changing the look children have in TSMP&N. Perhaps you might investigate your work further, and see what else you might discover in furthering the ability to edit children sims....perhaps different looks, or body weight/size?

TC, Xeny

Thanks so much for letting me know!
Actually, it's wierd, because all face textures what I used have in title "af", what means adult female.
Probably EA was that lazy, that they let childrens to use the same face texture as adult females do.

It was explained at the time I put them up that I was using a very old art program and so had to use an external converter for dds. which was making the skin color stray away from the face tone. I added the non-barbie parts without altering the actual skin tone, so there shouldn't have been difference but because of the converter there was.
My last attempt at making them, I ran the face through the converter every time I ran the body through to try and keep them closer in shade, the results were better but still not great and got to the point where I had to call them done because I couldn't risk converting them any further. The only reasons I went ahead and uploaded the ones I had done was because Richdre's female skin download link was dead (the only other non-barbie skins at the time), and they were also mapped to Grim's female mesh.
I never finished the set because of the differences the converter eventually had on them no matter what work arounds I tried. Also, the better the graphics card, the more noticeable the difference is. The line goes from being slightly noticeable on my old card (which I was using when I uploaded them) to very noticeable on my newer one. The color problem was pointed out at the time they were uploaded, and it was also explained why they were like that, it's also the reason they were put on my site and not here. Unhappy and embarrassed though I was with the final outcome due to the color difference, I put them up for people who felt they couldn't play without realistic skins (and there was a bit of talk about it at the time). I would never have put them up as they were if there hadn't been a reason for it at the time, so I found your comment a bit "ouch". Now that there are other options available and because of the difference in the problem between graphics cards, I've taken them down.

What I mean is like this:

[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

This is S-Club's skin. Notice how shiny it is? I like skins that have a bit of sheen, like it glows a little. Not to mention the shading that adds depth to the skin. The vanilla skin has no shading to speak of, and the skin looks flat. Featureless. It's bugs me. I want to see cleavage on my female skins, and collarbones on both. Also, I like the way the faces are done in the pictures above. There is a crease on the upper lids, and eye bags. The lips are more defined, and the cheeks have a slight blush on them. This is what I've been going for while trying to paint skin. I guess I like my sims to be a bit more glamorous.

I actually got my hands on Peggyzone's skins, and I'm seriously thinking of just changing the colors on her skin to match the shades in-game, and uploading them along with matching faces that I will paint myself. The problem is, I don't have permission from Peggyzone. But then I can't access Peggyzone's site, and it doesn't look like anything new has been added to it, which makes me think the creator has retired.

So what do you think? Should I go ahead and convert Peggyzone's skins and upload them here? If I convert the Peggyzone skins I could get done with these skins a lot sooner. Jeez, I've only been working on them since Christmas! Also, do you guys like the look of the skins in this post? Cuz, this is what I'm making!

ChickieTeeta. A question for you. What do you mean by converter? What converter were you using?

I had an old art program that didn't support dds. There weren't any plug-ins made for it either, so I had an external converter.
It converts dds files in to an image file that the art prog can recognize, when you're done editing the file in your art prog, you run it back through the converter to change it back in to a dds file.

Well, ChickieTeeta, you didn't need to explain all that to me. I read it before using your skin. But Toots, you have no reason to think your skin is not beautiful and good work. I love it, in fact. I may have over dramatized the 'look' of the neckline a tad, but indeed it is noticeable, Your work on the reality aspect of the look of the female parts is AMAZING! In fact, the most perfect, and realistic Boobs I've ever seen on a skin! LOL I'm totally serious...but I must giggle just a wee bit, too.
It isn't your fault about the tone difference between the neck and face, Chickie, as I see on a near daily basis when I try and mix colors on some apps I use, and also in TSMP&N with wallpapers, trying to get as light a color as possible, yet having it stay blue, and look blue in the color box, but look green in the game, I find it impossible to match colors exactly without the number of the color. Being the program you used was old, you still did an awesome job, and I applaud you!
Your skin is the best I have found to get the look I want for my female sims, your skin does not detach from the female head like the last two I tried, so bless ya for that, because the very last one I tried was truly horrifying, so much it made my female sims look like they came from the Walking Dead literally! They were monsters with their heads looking like they were going to snap off if one turned their head to answer a question!
All you need for perfection is a better color mixer, OR simply make a face to go with the body! You are such a perfectionist, Chickie Babes, that I know you could do it, and certainly do it well. I think all you need is more time than you seem to have, as always you are very busy.

Please recall that in my initial description of your skin in my game, I noted that your skin perfects (pardon Grim, but its true without any over dramatizing) the appalling look of the body parts of Grim's female nude mesh, and skin. There is a GREAT difference between the two skins, Chickie, and yours is of a much higher artistic level. So please don't feel anything other than proud of yourself. I am glad to have your skin, and I'm guarding it now for its safe keeping, as no other skin has yet to meet its equal.

You can try for perfection in everything if you want, ChickieTeeta, but reality says you will never be successful.

I do adore your spirit in the attempts, however, and that in itself is a quality.

TC Chickie Dear...
