If you are still having issues with starting your game even after removing your broken CC/Mods and/or Mod folder please refer to the patch issue troubleshooting thread over at SimsVIP .

UPDATE: 1. I'm adding a list of Fixed (Safe To Use) Mods/CC and will have strikethrough on the broken mods, this means you need to remove the old versions and replace them with the new ones.

2. There are several CC reported that were meant for Sims 3, double check that any CC that you are reporting for crashing is meant for TS3 and not TS4. Before this patch some accidentally installed TS3 CC did not cause any issues, now they are. The ones that were reported, will be listed in the spoiler below tagged "Accidentally Installed TS3 CC causing issues" as it seems these CC have made their way around the internet as TS4 content.

Faster gardening, No Fountain Toilets. and the Sticky clothes mods also need updating. All of these failed to work in my patched game, but once removed the functions returned.

Don't forget Shimrod's mod for the same energy on all beds. Crin is advising everyone to remove it till it's updated, since it's deleting beds. She also said to remove a mod from here called SupeSpeed Mod.

Do the bunk beds not work at all or is it that you can't use the design tool on them? If it's the design tool, that's expected - you need to choose a color before you place the bed and delete/rebuy if you want to change the colors.

They don't work at all. I tried putting the bed in my game and kept saying script error so I checked the comments on the download page and alot of people are having the same issue.

for some reason my sims are showing up white and inactive?? could it be a ui mod somewhere??

Mine did the same thing and after removing my mods folder it works now.

I've noticed the "bz_CleanFromSitting_fix" mod and the "ShimrodBarsBartendingRevamp_v2" mod also cause problems

Dr. Chillgood's No Losing Kids To Bad Grades / No Shame In Bad Grades - Mod is causing Sims to be unselectable. The Sims appear as though they are at work or school when in fact are at home.

Okay, this is weird (perhaps because I'm not sufficiently technically inclined) but: I have several hundred S4 mods, and (after a day of ignoring both my husband and my job) the ONE MOD that kept my game from loading after the patch was one piece of 2010 clothing CC (either S2 or S3; I don't know which) that I had mistakenly downloaded and put into my S4 Mods folder.

After exhaustively doing the 50/50 thing for hours, that mod--which isn't even an S4 mod--was the ONLY mod that kept my game from loading. AAARRRGGGHHH!!!

Game's working indeed, but far from flawlessly.

The following mods made my sims refuse to do anything autonomously, the irony. They also made my sims completely unable to watch TV, for some reason:

Weebl_101 - Base Mod Version 2.3
Weebl_101 - Teen Love Addon Version 1.0

I'm still trying to figure out which mod it is that makes my sims unable to help their kids with their homework.

I have also read on another forum that according to Madame Butterfly, the file needed for modders to even check compatibility has been encrypted by EA with this patch. So until EA fixes that issue or someone can manage to decrypt it, nothing can be checked for compatibility and new mods can't be made either. Way to go EA.

As far as I can tell, all of my clothing CC is now unsorted and shows up under every category. I'm only assuming this applies to all of it since there's just too much to go through and try to pick out individually now.
