Default A Bunch of New Mods, Just Uploaded
I've made a number of hacked objects for The Sims 1, and I've finally gotten around to uploading them, just in case anyone else wants them. You can get them at Sims 1 Mods by Corylea

(The picture doesn't show everything; it's just a sample.)

Mods include the following:

1. Skill objects that have been hacked to skill twice as fast (so you can cheat SOME but not a WHOLE lot :-D).

I've also adjusted the need satisfaction, where that seemed odd to me. So the piano bench now gives some Comfort, the chess set will completely fill your Fun need, instead of filling it only three-quarters of the way full, ditto for the guitar, and so on.

2. I get tired of using the black sofa in every house, just because it has a good comfort score. I've hacked some Comfort items that I like the looks of so that they'll be a lot more comfortable ... and also priced them in accordance with their increased Comfort score.

3. Hacked plumbing items that almost never break.

4. Hacked pet objects, including Smart Food, so that if you adopt a cat or dog that you'd hoped to teach tricks and discovered that your pet was actually pretty stupid, you can feed it this food and give it Intelligence 10.

5. Televisions that the sims can hear but the player can't, so your sims can get all their fun, but YOU don't have to listen to it.

6. An Interest Adjuster that allows you to set your sim's interests to a pre-determined pattern with a single click. Use it on every sim in the neighborhood, and it'll be LOTS easier to make friends.

I also have a bunch of simple recolors -- of objects, clothes, heads, walls, and floors -- that I haven't uploaded yet, because uploading the hacked objects already took a lot of time. I thought I'd see how much interest there was before I spent time on the rest of it.

I made these mods for my own use, but I went to the trouble of uploading them in an attempt to make my fellow simmers happy. So if you enjoy any of these mods, I'd love to hear about it! I don't get mail at corylea.com, but you can leave a comment in the thread announcing these mods here at ModTheSims or Reddit or send me a PM at either of those places; I'm Corylea at both.

Have fun!

I'm continuing to make and upload new items for The Sims 1. I don't want to try people's patience by posting every time I upload something new, since I upload something new several times a month. But there've been enough new things recently that I thought I'd mention that I'm continuing to make new stuff. You can get it all at http://corylea.com/Sims1ModsByCorylea.html

Some of the new items:

Items that produce magic ingredients have been hacked to produce three per use, instead of one. These include the Spinning Wheel for golden thread, the Churn for butter, and the Beehive for beeswax and honey. I've also hacked the Magic Toy Box to produce faerie dust more frequently and to fill the children's fun bar all the way.

I've recolored tulips in red, white, and pink and hacked them to allow intersection, so you can put them around trees and fountains.

I've made an automatic version of The Interest Adjuster, so you can adjust the interests of sims you can't play, such as Downtownies, Stranges, Anybodys, and so on.

I've hacked the Magic Starter Kit that the Mystery Man delivers so that it gives you enough Magic Coins to buy a house in Magic Town. I've also removed the room score hit that it gives you, in case you want not to open the box until later.

I've made a round, flat lamp for the yard and hacked it to allow intersection, so your sims can walk on it or put flowers on it. Of course, outdoor lighting is weird in The Sims 1; light shines ONLY on walls and floors. So it won't light up your yard, but it will light up your sidewalk.

I've made a brown version of the yellow nightstand that only costs one simolean. Magic sims need a surface to put charms on, so I've made a super cheap one, for all those charms.

I've made a plant that keeps the sims' bladder needs full. You can put them on community lots, so there won't be a pile-up at the bathrooms, and sims can circulate and talk. Or you can put one on your home lot so that you never have to take a sim to the toilet ever again. :-)

I've revamped Gnohmon's excellent door frame to make a door for Studio Town that only your sim and NPC's (like the janitor) can go through. So you can edit Studio Town to have a little need-replenishing area for your sim, without having to worry that other sims will rest in your extra-comfy chair or hog your TV or whatever, even before your sim qualifies for the star-only door.

There are also a few simple recolors, like a white interior door and a brown double-hung window.

I've re-vamped my summary page to tell you what the latest upload is, though I might need to put up a what's new PAGE instead, since sometimes the latest "what's new" is only a day or two newer than the previous one. :-)

Thanks, PanCakezzz, I appreciate your saying that! It's discouraging when 300 people download something, and nobody says a word about it...
