Default Can't place a lot where it used to be
I bulldozed the Binder Clips Stadium lot, trying to see if something else would look better there, but now I can't put the 64x64 lot again

I'm renovating Starlight Shores and was able to put lots where the game doesnt allow, e.g. smaller lotS RIGHT ON TOP the paths next to the Binder Clips , and a 64x64 school where the gyn and a house used to be
but the game wont let me put the right lot in its original place

does anybody have a solution on this? Im even willing to fix it in CAW if theres a way to import the .world archive

In my experience, it som etimes happens that a building cannot be placed again in the lot where it was. That lot usually won't take another building the same size either. If you bulldoze the lot completely and try to place a new lot of the same size there, usually you will find that you cannot. My suspicion is that EA cheated in some way and the lot-and-building combination is actually off by a mite in some direction, or that there is some world object in the way. I generally give up and put something else there.

I think that when you delete a lot something gets left behind and the game behaves as though the original lot was still there (that's my theory anyway, I may be wrong). A trick that sometimes works for me is to place a smaller lot right on top of where the old one was, then delete it and try to place the larger lot. It doesn't always work, but you might give it a try. I also find that shutting down the game (after saving of course) and reloading the save sometimes resets things.

Legend is history as we would like it to be. We pick through the dusts of time for what is worth keeping and, here and there, we occasionally find treasure.

YES! I have the same theory and I also found out about the same trick, but saddly in that place nothing seems to be working
I wanted to put the original lot size there because I cannot find the Binder Clips Center shell (nor the Hoi Polloi shell), either in buydebug or community objects, so I can“t rebuild it in a smaller lot

I'm certainly no expert, but I've found when trying to place a new lot, or replace an old one (accidentally deleted), anything "active" in that area prevents lot placement (apparently you can place a spawn point on a lot but cannot place a lot on a spawn point), and removal of a community lot may leave the "rabbit hole" in place, preventing that lot from being placed back there. In one instance I found reinstalling the world was the simplest fix.
