Default Unbelievable Sims 2 Moments?
Whats a moment that you had during gameplay that sound sound literally impossible?
AKA moments that if you told somebody else, they wouldn't believe you it happened.

Goopy casually uprooting a tree bigger than him and putting it in his pocket. It turned out to be cloned from a garden gnome.

Once when I was moving Households around,
on a Community Lot I had a sim meet Himself.

This story sounds less impressive with the release of Lamare's new Fight Mod but I once did have a death by fighting happen between two townies a few years back. They kept fighting and having their needs drop over and over with no rest until finally the needs drop from the fight caused the loser to suddenly drop dead of starvation. I do have whatever mod it is that allows your starvation deaths to happen more quickly by changing the way that last bit of hunger drop works (someone else would have to link it, I always forget this mod's name lol), so that's probably the kicker that made this possible. It was a fresh neighbourhood with literally only my legacy founder and a main hood's worth of townies and a day's worth of generated NPCs, and the lot was empty, so the two sims involved literally had nothing better to do than fight I guess? Probably the sim crossed the hunger threshold to starvation in the middle of the fight so they ended up starving rather than being prompted to leave because their needs were too low. But imagine the shock on my face after nearly 20 years of simming watching a fight end expecting nothing unusual, and then the grim reaper appear and take the loser.

It wasn't Sim Sample, it was a lightning strike and a cleanbot. In Durnt from Strangerhood's house.

(She was fine, by the way)

And this nightmarish creature (from back when I was having pink soup issues)

And that time I had this other nightmarish creature trying to kidnap some kids... and the babies ended up in the middle of the road.

(You now it's serious when two social workers show up )

But what happened to the babies?

It's a while back, but I think the were taken.
I was trying to stop the social worker, which caused the buggy behavior.

I can't blame the social workers for taking those babies, seeing someone had left them both lying in the middle of the road. I know some Sims and some Simmers thank the TS2 social workers are too officious, but there are times when they just have to take the children. For them to leave those babies in the middle of the road would be gross negligence.

One time I had a sim give birth in the middle of grilling hot dogs. Another sim on the lot had been abducted by aliens a few hours earlier. While the birth cut scene played, you could clearly see both the grill catch on fire and the abducted sim return home in the background. I don't have screenshots of it anymore sadly but it was such an insane combo of events! I don't play with the special event camera enabled anymore so this must have happened many years ago at this point, but I still remember it very clearly.

The social workers caused them to be in the middle of the road - not the parents (I think the babies teleported there from their cribs, nobody actually put them there). So the negligence was on the social workers.

Can't remember what caused the situation, but my sims are generally good at taking care of their kids. Likely a scheduling error between working parents where the nanny didn't show/was accidentally cancelled, or some such (I have since installed a mod to keep this from happening again - I've had some other accidents, for instance with the freezer clock or similar, and I don't want that to happen again...).

Had a situation once where a sim kept giving birth to the same twins over and over and over again. Had to abandon the lot...

Omg I also have a mod to make fires EVEN more dangerous and Ive never had it get to that point The fire truck being on fire is hilarious tho, I wonder how long it took until the fire was put out and if any firefighters died in the process of that

^ No thanks! Fires don't need to be more dangerous than they already are...

Had a TS4 situation once, where a colleague of my sim used the microwave oven at the workplace, set themselves + the whole kitchen on fire, and nobody, not even the fire brigade, could get to them to put out the fire. Even Grim had trouble getting to him

And that's the main reason I prefer using a sprinkler to fireproof areas - I'd rather the area gets a bit wet, than the whole area + sims burning down. I've had more than enough of that

I've had so many TS4 fires from sims trying to cook their first meal, it's almost insane. Also had a situation in TS3 where first the mom offed herself in a fire, then the dad, all in the first day. On the flip side, my TS2 sims have to actually forget the food in the oven for it to start burning, even if they haven't earned their first cooking point yet.

Christmas trees and fireplaces, though... *places sprinkler*

I had to exit without saving (I don't often do that)! It was too traumatic, there were orphaned kittens...

There are no pics of after as I was running around the room waving my arms around, but the second fire engine couldn't arrive because portals were on fire and road was full of ash piles and a burning nanny van.

Many years ago me and my older sibling made a household just to goof off with. We had bought that enormous gorilla statue in pink and playing around with move_objects on we stuck it to one of the sims. Then when she moved the statue swung around and got swallowed up by the ground, pulling the sim down with it, never to be seen again. She disappeared from the row of portraits of selectable sims and all, like she was entirely erased from existence along with the pink gorilla.

I was showing my son how to play The Sims 2 when he was younger (maybe 10 or so). He spent a long time making his family, including a teen boy, and then when he started playing, he sent the boy out to watch clouds. Bam! First thing he was hit by a satellite. He did not become a Sims 2 player.

I have never once, in all my years of playing, had anyone hit by a satellite while cloud watching without using mods.
