This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default I cant zoom in/out with + or - anymore
Ever since i installed pets, i cant seem to zoom in or out with the + or - keys. all of the other buttons work fine, but i cant zoom in with the keyboard keys.

i still can use the UI keys, but thats a nuance and im not used to that. the rest of the game runs fine, and theres no problems what so ever.

i used your game problem guide, and went to the very end and ended up at this page

i still had a problem and i did patch the game, and im still stuck.

ive also had to reinstall this already because i installed this and then ofb, because it said my ofb wasnt in the game when it was, since i had the zoom problem i thought it was because i installed them backwards.

now that its correctly installed it doesnt work! it didnt work either way, and i have no idea why!

Pets disabled those keys for zooming in and out because the new octoganal room tool uses those keys to make the room bigger and smaller. As an alternative, you can use the Z and X keys to zoom in and out, or, if you have a mouse wheel, use that.

It doesn't tell you that the keys are now disabled no. On my laptop I can scroll simply by putting two fingers on the trackpad and then going up and down with them to zoom in and out. But Mine is a mac laptop, and its an entirely different setup .

You can always get an external USB mouse to use with your laptop. They don't cost much and voila you'll get your easy zooming back.

When I'm on my couch using the laptop, I use a thick cookbook with a mousepad on it sitting on the couch next to me. Works wonders since I prefer real mice
