This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage
Default Happy Holiday stuff uninstall info (registry entries, etc.)
Do you know where the registry entries for Happy Holiday Stuff are located? Basically I would just like to know where the PC gets the information whether or not this Stuff Pack is installed (since you cannot install HHS more than once, and it has no uninstaller). I don't know if it's in the registry or a settings file; either way I can't find it.

I know Happy Holiday is a bit different from the other EPs/SPs that it doesn't have its own install folder, and it isn't even listed in the EPsInstalled in The Sims 2 registry, even though it is installed. I notice too that it isn't even an option in BaseGameStarter.

I've also checked the following article and it's no help (regarding HHS):

Thanks in advance.

HHS is different than other stuff packs. It basically entwines itself with the base game. I -think- the only way to get rid of it is a full uninstall/reinstall of, at a minimum, the base game. Not exactly sure..but I would think that should work.

I figured just as much, after a bit of testing. I made a backup of my base game ("The Sims 2") folder prior to installing HHS. Then I installed HHS. After that of course I cannot reinstall HHS, but after replacing the current base game folder with the backup, I can reinstall HHS again.

So I guess the "Is HHS installed?" info is in there somewhere, not in the registry. And maybe that's all I need to know for now.

Oh, if anyone wonders why I need this info, I'm trying to make a single "installer" for the game plus the EPs currently installed (by backing up the game folders and registry entries), since it's such a pain to install them all one by one the normal way, every time I reformat my PC.

Glad you figured it out. That would be a nifty utility!
