Default Witch Doctor
Is anyone else having the problem that the witch doctor is just either standing there, looking blindly into space.. or spamming repair on the dishwasher electrocuting himself 20 times a minute?
because i am

tried with three different sims, they all get the same, apparently bugged witch doctor

Click on the Witch Doctor and offer to help him; he'll go and rest in his hammock and you can repair his broken things (microwave, dishwasher, tub and television). After you finish, he'll walk back into the hut and start interacting with you.

After awhile of just typical social interactions (chat, friendly hug, etc.), he'll give you a package which contains the voodoo doll.

If that's still not the case, you may have a problem with a conflicting mod or hack...

He just stood outside by the door with me. It took me awhile because I stupidly brought the entire family when they were hungry and dirty, so of course they were crowding in the bathroom and around the fridge and microwave ^^; But yeah, I did it the same way as dunner.

where do you find the witch doctor?

You have to find the map to the secret location in Twikkii neighborhood. I confess, I cheated my Sim's mechanical skills up in order to fix everything - I didn't feel like having to go back home to run up his mechanical skill and go back again later.

I fixed all of his things, but he just stayed asleep in his hammock. I fixed the bath, the dishwasher, the microwave, and the television. In the end I just left.

I would like to clear up the little matter of my sanity as it has come into question. I am not in any way, shape, or form, sane. Insane? Hell yes!

People keep calling me 'evil.' I must be doing something right.

I think his stereo was also broken, if that helps.

Really? It seemed like it was working fine when I tried. Maybe next time I'm have a look. Thanks!

The sim that offers to help him has to be the one that repairs everything. If another sim helps out, he will stay asleep in his hammock, and won't wake up. And, the stereo is fine.

I had two sims there, Angela and Lilth, he slept in his hammock while they both fixed his apartment (Nearly died trying to fix his tv too!) but he gave the gift to Lilth, the one who offered to help. You might have to wait a bit, he slept in his hammock for a sim hour then got up, took a bath and proceeded to make friends with my sims before he gave Lilth the gift.

What I hate is he'll only give out one voodoo doll per vacation. I had 4 sims go together and I wanted them all to get their momentos together, but now I have to go to Twikkii 3 more times to get them all a voodoo doll.

You have to wait for a while until he gives you the doll (my sim had to wait for 2 days at the witch doctor's hut before he actually gave her the present).

Hey there!

I had no problem to get the doll but now I can't use it. My sim tried to use it on her friends and roommates but I just don't even get the option to even click on the darn doll. It there a trick to it or is my doll just "broken"??

While your sim has the doll in his inventory, click on another Sim. There should be a "Voodoo..." menu, with various awesome options.

I got the voo doo doll and used it a few times now it always backfires! But I passed it around the familys inventory and they all got to use it! lol

I think I finally uncovered the map to get to the Witch Doctor's hut in Three Lakes last night. Will have to send them back to the island again lol

One of my Sims got to befriend Bigfoot. They have also learned the Dragon Legend.

I think the Witch Doctor is "slightly" glitched. The first time I tried it, I only fixed three of the 4 things (didn't realize the microwave was broken), and then I tried to get his attention when he was asleep on the hammock. When he woke up and stood up, I couldn't interact with him at all.

The second time I tried, it all went well. I fixed everything. Then I just puttered around his hut until he came back in on his own. We watched a little bit of television. Chatted a bit ... then he thanked me and gave me my gift.

I don't think he is glitched. I think the point of the task it that you cannot interact with him until you fix everything, even if he wakes up he will just stand there until you are done.

Me addicted to the Sims? Never! You only have an addiction if you attend meetings.

You need to have a few relationship points with him as well as fixing things in order to get the gift.

Hmmm ... I hadn't thought of that. You might be right. As I said, I didn't know the microwave was broken until I noticed him trying to fix it the second time I was on the lot. I think I assumed that he'd fixed it when he went to try to fix the dishwasher.
